The contractor shall follow the same scrupulously, falling which the penal recovery shall be made. |
| 14 | Cleaning the underground main sewer lines and manholes by Mechanical methods of sewers of following diametre including opening the cover of manhole with adequate safety measures to avoid asphyxiation, removing the obstruction/choke in sewer line by using diesel running vehicle mounting hydraulic operated high pressure jetting system of 2200 PSI, removing the sludge/ waste materials using suction machine with pump having minimum 400 litre capacity, cleaning the sewer/ chambers by removing all sludge, sand grits, tree root, waste material, etc., desilting the manhole/chamber, disposing of the sludges/waste materials within 1Km lead, closing the manholes by placing the cover in its original position, flushing the sewer line between manholes by using high pressure jetting, cost of all tools and plants required for this item etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1)The contractor shall deploy sufficient manpower and machinery such as jetting machine/ sucker for efficient cleaning of sewer line with requisite supervising staff falling which, payment will not be made for defective cleaning work. 2)The work shall be executed by deploying skilled specialised manpower/ agency by deploying suitable machineries.3)Sewer line shall be cleaned minimum twice in a year. 4)Frequency of cleaning of sewer line and area /length of sewer line covered shall be as per the programme available with EIC. The contractor shall follow the same scrupulously, falling which the penal recovery shall be made. |
