| 23 | Supply and installation of advance maintenance free tripod ring earthing system by boring the required nos of holes of dimension 8 to 10 inch wide and length of hole should be less than approximately 2 inches of the electrode length in semi hard soil or hard soil consisting of three Nos (UL) 467-2007 or latest as well as IEC 62561listed CPRI tested Pure copper tube earth electrode designed in accordance to IS:3043(1987).The system consists of copper tube earth electrode having purity of 99.99%.There is a copper strip inside it which is pressure filledwith highly conductive crystalline mixture of metal alloys and other conductive material. Both the ends of the electrode should be permanently sealed with the extended terminal having two holes at the top for connecting the earthing system to the equipment/load. The Copper tube earth electrode should beof outer dia 50 mm,thickness of rod 01mm and length 03 mtrs tested according to IEC 62561-2 with minimum 10 years life span (the rod should be marked as per the UL certification ) including min 25 Kg/electrode of earth enhancing compound (PROCEM) NABL certified, CPRI tested eco friendely tested as per the IEC 62561-7 and needs to be considered to fill the 100 mm bored hole surrounding to the electrode. the earth enhancing compound should have restivity less than 50 ohm-meter with chemically inert to sub soil that should not pollute the environment and non corrosive to the earth electrode itself. Provision of the connector for connecting electrode with earthing conductor/strip including fastener made of stainless steel/copper/brass as directed having suitable size according to the electrode and earthing conductor dimensions. all the three earthing electrode would be separated by appropriate distance of not less than 3m and not more than 6m and connected to Each other by and including 25X3mm copper strip to make ring earth and further to be connected to the testpoint and to be buried in appropriate depth not less than 500 mm below the normal ground level and earth pit chamber of suitable size not less than 300mmX3000mmX300mm internal dimension made of FRP material complete with flush mounted, removable and lockable cover able to withstand 15KN for Each earth electrode all as directed by engineer in charge. The interconnecting conductor/copper strip shall also be covered with approximately 30 kg of earth enhancing compound for each 3 metres length of strips all to be included in quoted rate itself. The Earth pit inspection chambershould be as perIEC 62561-5 or latest and will be of 300x300x300 mm inside dimension of RCC with 50 mm thick and fine finish. The marking space should be present on RCC Cover. The chamber should have facility for making earth resistance and latest testing date by paint at the cover and previous recorded values inside the cover all as per description of engineer in charge. Note-copper strip of 7.5m length from earthing electrode to the test point and copper strip required for interconnections of rods to make rings of approximately 9.0 metre is included in the quoted rate. |
