| 1 | Supply, Install, Commissioning & Testing of Advance Encapsulated Compound based CPRI type-tested Maintenance Free, Pipe-in- Pipe Technology upgraded (Zinc & Alloy Coated), ZINC COATED (80-100) Microns with pure Zinc (99.9%) & ALLOY COATING (150- 200) microns. Earthing System confirming IS 3043.The outer and inner pipe should be 76.2 mm & 41.9 mm dia, 3.0 mtrs Length, Zinc coated with additional Special Alloy coating 300 mm on the topside for additional protection of the Terminal. The annular space between the pipes being filled up with compact filled (Crystalline Conductive Compound). The compact filled mixture which is machine pressed in the pipes should disintegrate or collapse when outer pipe corrodes. The inner pipe should be extended with terminals for connectivity. The job includes digging the pits and refilling the same with 2 x 25 Kgs bags of BARON Electrodite Back Fill Earth Enhancing Carbon Based Conductive Concrete compound. The Back Fill Compound should be Electronically Conductive with Noncorrosive Properties & Environmentally Neutral Material. Electrodite Back Fill Compound shall be suitable to be installed in either slurry or dry form and shall not be mixed with any soil/cement etc. while pouring in the bore hole so that it improves conductivity of the earth electrode and ground contact area with & incl FRP Chamber & Cover complete all as specified & as directed & to the entire satisfaction of Engr-In-Charge. |
| 2 | The Back-fill material/compound shall have following characteristics :a) Resistivity 0.20 Ohm-meters as per Clause 5.4.1 of IEC 62561-7:2018b) Tested as per IEC : 62561-7 and the test certificates (Corrosion Test, Leach Test, Sulphur Test & Resistivity Test )shall be submitted to the Engr-In-Charge.c) Shall not depend on the continuous presence of water / moisture / salt to maintain its conductivity.d) Shall not decompose or leach out with time.e) Shall solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.f) Shall not contain hazardous chemicals and necessary Test certificate from reputed accredited laboratories shall be submitted to the Engr-In-Charge.g) Shall not be affected by drought and shall be stable between -10˚ to +50˚ C temperature.h) Shall be suitable for any kind of soil.j) Shall be supplied in sealed, moisture proof bags. These bags shall be marked with Manufacturer’s Name or Trade Name & Quantity. |
| 3 | The following test certificates shall be submitted to the Engr-In-Charge by the Contr prior to supply of ELECTRODITECarbon based Back fill compound from an independent laboratory (NABL Accredited Laboratory) along with Routine Test Report :a) Corrosion Test Certificate as per IEC : 62561-7 b) Leach Test Certificate as per IEC : 62561-7c) Sulphur Test Certificate as per IEC : 62561-7d) Resistivity Test Certificate as per IEC : 62561-7Model - ASEEL-39 3.0 m length (ZINC & ALLOY COATED) of Make ELMECH or techno-commercially equivalent of ERICO/CAPE ELECTRIC. |
| 4 | IMPORTANT NOTES :1) The complete work of the Earthing System is to be got done from the OEM or their authorized sister concern/ channel partner only.2) Any items missed out in the technical specification, but technically required for efficient working of the system is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates.3) The contractor/firm is required to visit the site prior to quoting of the subject items/ work so as to ascertain the actual ground requirements. Any further query at a later date shall not be entertained & responsibility of the same shall rest on the contractor/ firm.4) Comparative analysis in respect of the items wherever techno-commercially equivalent w.r.t the given Cat/Part/Model ref concerned is to be submitted to the Engr-In-Charge & GE for approval.5) The cost of making good the disturbed surfaces is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rate of relevant items.6) Purchase Vouchers & Manufacturers test certificates to be submitted in Original to the Engr-In-Charge.7) Design/Drawing/BOM/Technical Specifications of the complete Earthing System showing the layout including dimensions is to be obtained from OEM strictly keeping in view the actual ground requirements & the same is to be got approved from Engr-In-Charge & GE before placing final order to the OEM.8) The contractor should submit a detailed Report of Test results from OEM after completion of work and same is to be certified from Engr-In-Charge & GE. If the test results are not satisfactory or not within the permissible limits of relevant National/International Standards then the job is to be redone without any extra cost to the Dept with & incl any numbers of additional 25 Kg Bags of BFC till the results are satisfactory i.e. less than 1.0 Ohm. |
| 5 | 9) Repair/ Servicing / Preventive & Breakdown maintenance of the complete Earthing system is to be got donefrom the OEM/ Sister Concern/ Channel partner only by the contractorfor the entire defect liability period i.e two years from the certified date of completion & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates.10) Testing at an interval of 6 months of the entire Earthing system is to be got done from the OEM/ Sister Concern/ Channel Partner only by the contractor & report submitted accordingly to the Engr-In-Charge for the entire defect liability period & and the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates.11) Cost of FRP Chamber & Cover all as per OEM recommendations is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates.12) Earthing Electrode and Copper Strip 20 x 3 mm shall be welded using Exothermic Welding for interconnecting the Earth Electrodes whereever required or as directed (if any) and from Earth to Grid Point up to 7.5 m along with 40 mm dia GI light grade protection pipe & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. 13) All the joints except Test Point shall be welded / brazed properly and the Copper Earth Strip whenever laid / fixed on the wall, floor etc. shall be fixed / fitted on DMC/FRP Insulators not more than 600 mm apart & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. 14) The Contractor shall give Guarantee for maintaining Earth Resistance value of less than 1.0 Ohm for a period of 05 years from the Certified Date of Completion and is required to deposit a Security Deposit of Rs 2000/- for each Earthing in this regard. |

If the test results are not satisfactory or not within the permissible limits of 1.0 Ohm then the job is to be redone without any extra cost to the Dept till the results are satisfactory.2) Cost of GI/Copper Earth Strip and GI Protection Pipe upto 7.5 mtr length & welding/brazing work is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates.3) Cost of Wire Mesh, Funnel, Earthwork, PCC Chamber with Cover, Test Point etc.is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. |
