Replacement of Product Cooler A Discharge end Tyre shoes at NP Plant FACT CD, during ATA 2026.Work Involves: Make all necessary site arrangements, collect and transport required tools, tackles, chain blocks, hydraulic jacks, and materials from the Store or Workshop Department, arrange transportation of new tyre shoes to the NP area, and erect scaffolding at the site for removal of existing tyre shoes; Fabricate and transport saddle supports for lifting and holding the Product Cooler shell at the discharge end to lock the shell movement; During lifting, holding, and throughout the course of the work, the Contractor shall exercise utmost care to support the Product Cooler shell in a manner that ensures its roundness is preserved and prevents any ovality or distortion; Remove the thrust rollers; Shift the discharge end tyre to facilitate removal of tyre shoes and secure the tyre against movement; Remove the existing tyre shoes (Approximately 95 Nos.); Perform grinding to remove burrs or irregularities without damaging the shell; Inspect the shell surface; if cracks are detected, conduct DP testing, arrest crack ends by drilling, prepare groove by grinding, preheat, weld with suitable electrodes inside and outside, finish‑grind; Reposition the tyre to its original location; Weld new tyre shoes (Approximately 48 Nos) and tyre keepers (Approximately 96 Nos) in proper positions;Refix the thrust rollers;Remove temporary saddle supports; Assist in skewing of the Product Cooler; Remove scaffolding; Conduct successful trial run;Perform site cleaning and transport chain blocks, tools, and tackles back to the tool crib/store.
