| 9 | M&L for Repair of potholes by pourng 3 component epoxy mortar including cutting the broken sides of PCC slabs,sides of pot holes in concrete surface,sides of joints (ie construction, dummy, expansion etc to a true rectangular shape and to depth min 30 mm as required at site with hand/mechanical tools as required upto hard sound surface of old concrete including removing loose material to a distance exceeding 150 m and deposited the same as directed. Grooves/prepared surface is to be cleaned by means of compressed air to remove dust loose sand , foreign materials and washing the grooves/surfaces with solution prepare with hydrochloric acid and water in equal proportion at the rate of 7 Lts per 10 Sqm in two applications. Apply primer Shali Bond 41 of STP (or) equivalent in Sika/ Fosroc as approved by GE in two operations as per manufactures instruction and Fill with 3 component epoxy motor Shalifix EM 51 (or) equivalent in Sika/ Fosroc all as per manufacturers instructions and directed by Engr-in Charge. |

| 13 | Repair to existing construction and dummyjoints of size 10mm to 12mm wide and 25mm avg depth on rigid pavementof runway ,taxiwayand dIspersal of air fieldwith all activities :(i) Raking out old decayed/damaged existing sealingcompound with backup rod of any description and cleaning the joints thoroughly by removing dust, dirt foreign material by appropriate electric cutter and air blower.(ii) Removing the existing sealing compoundfrom the edges , bottom and sides of the joints by cutting the edges, bottom and sides of the joints by mechanical tool (diamond cutter) to make the cross section of joint truly rectangular. Cutting of edges/sides/bottomof joints shall be doneby using diamond cutter only .(iii) Once again cleaning the joints with compressed air and applying two primer coats (with interval of 30 minutes between each coat)upto the full depth & width of the existing joints (iv) Sealing the joints with polyurethane joints sealant single component (upto full width of existing joint) all as per manufacturers instruction including applyingmasking tap on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and removing the tap after sealant is applied complete all as specified and directed.(v) The quoted unit rate deemed to include supplying ang fixing of back up rod /slabof appropiate diameter / thickness as per site requirement.(vi) Electric supply shall be arranged by the contractor at its own arrangements.(vii) Make: Bostik (Seal N Flex)/Sika (Flex 11 FC) (or) equivalent as approved by GE |
