| 1 | Comprehensive Maintenance and Repairs of EOT cranes [54 Nos] inside of NAD, MO [V] New & Old site, WED, INS Dega, DSRV, CTWarea for periodic maintenance of cranes with Collective / Selective control schedule by carrying out periodic checks, repair and testing as specified and as recommended by the manufacturers and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge to ensure smooth / safe and efficient operation, including fixing only spares complete all as specified in particular specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 2 | Notes for Serial item No. 1 : [a] The contractor shall employ 01 (One) Crane Mechanic along with Helper with Three Years of relevant experience shall be provided for 08 Hours [0900 to 1700 Hours] i.e. working hours of Cranes and shall report to office of AGE (E/M) for day to day maintenance & efficient operation of Crane. [b] Required spares for maintenance shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates. [c] Cost of any minor spares required other than specified herein below shall be deemed to have been included in unit rate quoted.[d] The contractor shall carry out Preventive Maintenance of longitude travel / cross travel system assembly including (i) checking of gear system, including greasing, replacement of gasket, nuts, bolts, washers, split pins for proper tightness and safety including replacement of worn-out parts. (ii) Checking and testing of electrical control system, replacement of worn-out parts checking of coupling unit, travel track etc.(e) The contractor shall carry out Preventive maintenance of housing system / crab assembly comprising of (i) inspection and checking of bracings, pulley, nuts, bolts, washers, split pins, bushes hooks, checking of housing pulley. (ii) Inspection of hoisting rope for cut aberrations etc and ceaning up all greasy / clipping materials, inspection, servicing, setting right including replacement of damaged wiring of electric system in and outside cabins.(f) The contractor shall carry out Preventive maintenance of electrical control system comprising of (i) Inspection, checking, decarbonising, replacing burnt lugs and tightening of electrical connection in total systems. (ii) Inspection and checking of fuses setting the same as per capacity and replacement of fused indicating lamps etc.[g] The contractor shall rectify the defects within 24 hours as per directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.[h] The contractor shall maintain all installations provided under this contract as per IE Rules / Standard Engineering Practice and maintenance of installation Log Book and Maintenance Register. [i]The cost of the Complaint Slips, Registers, Log Books, Cost of T & P for Maintenance shall be deemed to be have been included in unit rate quoted.[j]Conveyance and communication system like mobile phone etc. shall be provided by the contractor to all Electricians and Crane Mechanics & cost of the same shall be deemed to be have been included in unit rate quoted. |
| 3 | [k]The contractor shall abide by the latest Labour Rules and Minimum Wages Act. Wages paid by the contractor to the persons employed shall not be less than the minimum wages fixed by State / Central Government from time to time whichever is higher. The contractor shall also insure the workmen employed on the job.[l]DRESS CODE: The contractor shall provide the workmen with Dark Blue Colour uniform with labels showing the Name of Firm and the Designation and \"GE [U–II] [V]\" printed on them along with protective clothing. The contractor shall also provide shoes to the workers and the persons shall not be allowed to enter the work site without wearing shoes.[m]On completion of comprehensive maintenance the contractor shall carryout the complete system and controls functional tests before handing over of the plant to department or his successor in presence of user and Engineer-in-Charge. If any components / spares are found defective or unserviceable, the contractor shall replace the same at his own cost in presence of user and Engineer-in-Charge and a certificate to this effect and tests carried out duly signed by the contractor, user and Engineer-in-Charge shall be submitted before claiming the final Bill.[n]INSURANCE: The contractor shall be responsible for all Accidents / Injuries happening to the workmen. Any accident causing Minor / Fatal Injury, Partial Disability due to any untoward incident or non-adherence to Safety and IE Regulations or fault in maintaining of Cranes / Safety mechanism or on account of any mishandling / wrong operation / lack of knowledge of safety precautions or on account of any circumstances beyond his/their control, the contractor shall be solely responsible for settling all claims of compensation to the deceased, failing which department will have a right to recover any sum indicated / claimed by Labour Commissioner / Court authorities. No claim whatsoever will be entertained in this regard. No compensation is payable by the department on this account. Contractor shall provide first aid boxes to meet any emergency situations. |
