| 2 | Reactor B Gearbox & Agitator Dismantling & Refixing, NP Plant.The scope of work involves - Collection & transportation of the necessary materials, tools, and tackles from the tool-crib/ store/ FACT CD premises to the worksite.Make necessary site arrangements for the work.Upon receiving clearance from the Officer-in-Charge to commence the work, open the reactor manhole, inspection windows and top cover.Provide temporary structural supports to hold the agitator while dismantling and re-fixing of the equipment.Decouple the Gearbox-Agitator unit and dismantle the Gearbox-Motor assembly from the base.Gearbox and motor shall be safely positioned on the ground.Dismantle the blades from the agitator and lift the agitator from the Reactor vessel and transport it to the repair areaalong with its blades.Motor and Gearbox shall be decoupled, disassembled and transported to the respective workshops for repair.Inspect the vessel surface for damages, corrosion, or irregularities.Carry out necessary patchwork on the vessel surface to restore integrity and ensure strength of the foundation area.Transport the repaired agitator from the repair bay, lift and position it inside the Reactor Vessel.Re-fix the agitator blades.The repaired gearbox and motor shall be transported back to the site and assembled.Inspect and correct the level of the Gearbox over the foundation.Couple the agitator to the gearbox unit.Check and correct the alignment of the Motor and Gearbox.Couple the motor and gearbox.All the foundation and coupling bolts shall be properly tightened.Remove all the temporary structures.Conduct a successful trial run.The leveling of the gearbox and the alignment shall be done under the supervision of the Technician/Officer in Charge. (Repair of Agitator, Gearbox & Motor is not in the scope of this contract) |
| 3 | Replacement of Reactor Agitator Gearbox Foundation & Support Structure in A & B Stream, NP Plant.The scope of work involves - Collection and transportation of the necessary materials, tools, and tackles from the tool-crib/ store/ FACT CD premises to the worksite.Make necessary site arrangements for the work.Provide temporary structural supports during dismantling and erection activities.Upon receiving clearance from the Officer-in-Charge, replacement activities shall be carried out as per the condition of the reactors.For Reactor B, the existing damaged gearbox foundation will be dismantled in its entirety and new foundation structures shall be fabricated to meet site requirements, positioned over the vessel, and secured with proper leveling, alignment, and anchoring.Inspection shall be conducted on the installed foundation and painted surfaces.Remove temporary supports and construction debris from the site.Perform a trial check to confirm readiness for gearbox reinstallation and necessary repair shall be done at no extra cost.For Reactor A, only the damaged portion of the gearbox foundation support, approximately 1 meter from the bottom, shall be dismantled, new support structure shall be fabricated to meet site requirements and secured with proper leveling, alignment, and anchoring.Damaged platforms at the top of the reactor vessels A & B shall be dismantled, new platforms shall be fabricated to meet site requirements, positioned over the vessel and secured with proper leveling, alignment and anchoring.Damaged structural elements shall be transported to the scrap yard/ area earmarked as per the instruction of the Technician/Officer-in-Charge.Painting - Erected structural elements shall be painted with two (02) coats of self priming coal tar epoxy paint, \"Rust-O-Seal\" of Asian Paints/ \"Protecteros CTE mastic\" of Berger Paints or equivalent approved quality coal tar epoxy having volume of solids 70% (approximate). The surfaces to be painted are to be cleaned using a wire brush to the extent that the entire surface is free from dirt, dust, oil, grease, or any foreign material. The structural steel, after transporting from the store to the worksite, shall immediately be cleaned and the first coat of epoxy coal tar paint shall be applied.The structural elements, after fabrication and erection, shall be applied with a second coat of epoxy coal tar paint after necessary cleaning at all heights and elevations. Two coats of paint shall be applied one after the other, allowing sufficient curing time after each coat is applied. Any area inaccessible after erection shall be painted beforehand. All costs incurred in painting, including the cost of paints, painting equipment, cleaning equipment, handling charges, scaffolding, and any other incidental expenses, will be within the contractor\"s scope.Furthermore, after the application of each coat of the paint, the Technician/Officer-in-Charge shall be informed and an inspection to be carried out before proceeding with the subsequent coat. |
