| 2 | Supply and fixing in repair ofEarthing to DBs with Galvanisedsteel pipe electrode shall be of medium grade 40 mm dia and 2.5 m in length. Pipe electrode shall be cut tapered at the bottom and is provided with 12 mm dia holes (staggered) at 75 mm centre to centre upto 2 m of length from bottom. The electrode shall be buried directly in ground vertically with its top edge not less than 1.25 m below ground levelconnected to main earth lead 4.0 sqmm galvanised iron wire by means of bolts, nut, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No.2 of MES Schedule pt-I 2009, GI earth lead shall be protected by GI pipe 15 mm dia medium grade and connected to distribution board includingexcavation in any type of soil,returning filling, disposal of soil, providing alternate layer ofcharcoal dust and common salt upto top edge of electrode, construction of PCC pit with RCC cover, funnel,including testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed. Note- cost of Making good of disturbed surface/area to match with existing surface is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. |
