M&L for preparing the existing black top surface with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose, dirt etc and material and labour for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer (paving bitumen) (VG-10) viscosity grade @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) stone chippings mixed with 5.5% of binder contents paving bitumen (VG-30) viscosity grade by weight of totalmixed in hot mix plant, transported to site on tippers and laid with mechanical paver and rolled to a uniform smooth surface with 8 to 10 tonne power roller and compacted to required camber and gradientincluding complete all as specifiedand directed. Note : (a) 05 Nos of core cutter test to be carried out by contractor on his own cost after 07 days from date of laying SDACat location as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and test report to be submitted before processing RAR/Payment. (CTL/IIT Roorkee/any Govt Institute as approved by the GE. (b) The unit rats are worked out on the basis of binder content of 5.5% by total mix.Any addition/deduction in the actual binder ontent used, the rate shall be adjusted as per given in SSR-II.

M&L for repair to pot holes any depth, not exceeding 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth and making good by filling in screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) and making good by applying tack coat at 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10sq m, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again rammed (including supply or premixed macadam,binder and chippings),depth of potholes exc 30mm complete all as specified and directed

M&L for premix bituminous macadam bitumen @4% (by weight of total mix) binder contents (VG-30) viscosity grade any penetration laid and rolled and compacted to requiredgradient and camber (consolidated thickness75mm or less) with 8 to 10 ton power roller complete all as specified and directed.Note : (a)05 Nos of core cutter test to be carried out by contractor on his own cost beforelaying SDAC on BM surface at location as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and test report to be submitted before processing RAR/Payment. M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc and the like exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirimg to BS 3262-1989 special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction. Complete all as specified and directed.
