| 13 | SPECIAL RESPONSE & PENALTY NOTE (APPLICABLE TO ITEM NO 1.09)(1) Attendance & InspectionThe contractor shall attend the site within 24 hours of intimation, inspect the complaint, assess the defect, and take necessary immediate action to ensure safety and functionality.(2) Rectification PeriodWhere replacement of parts or major rectification is involved, the contractor shall complete the work within the time period approved by the Engineer-in-Charge.(3) Penalty ClauseIn case the contractor fails to attend the site within 24 hours of intimation, recovery at the rate of ₹500 per day per door shall be effected till the date of attendance, without prejudice to the department’s right to get the work executed through other agencies at the risk and cost of the contractor. |

| 51 | COMMON NOTES TO ITEM NO 03 AND SUB ITEMS THEREOF:- (1) The quoted rates shall be deemed to include the cost of all tools and plants (T&P) such as scaffolding, ladders, ropes, welding and cutting equipment, drilling machines, safety harnesses, lifelines, helmets and all other necessary safety gear and protective measures required for execution of the work at all heights, including working at heights up to 25 metres above ground level or as actually required at site.(2) The quoted rates shall also be deemed to include all fixing accessories, consumables and incidental items such as self-drilling screws with EPDM washers, G.I. anchor bolts, nuts, bolts, cleats, screws, rawl plugs, sealants, welding electrodes, fasteners and all other materials required for proper completion of the work in all respects, including incidental cutting, drilling, welding, removal of minor welded or bolted connections, safe lowering, stacking and removal of dismantled materials from site.(3) The contractor shall ensure adequate safety arrangements for all personnel engaged in the work and shall be solely responsible and liable for the safety of his workmen during execution, dismantling or installation operations. The Department shall bear no responsibility for any accident, injury or loss of life, and the contractor shall indemnify the Department against all such claims or damages.(4) In case the planned MS structure, truss, grill, purlin, bracing, roofing arrangement or similar work differs from the existing structure, proper measurement of the existing structure to be dismantled shall be recorded in the Measurement Book (MB) duly signed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (5) Painting has been bifurcated due to difference in height, access conditions, safety provisions and execution methodology.
