| 11 | Arranging tools & plants with a skilled driver and one semi skilled helper for cutting of grass by mechanically operated tractor (Diesel) coupled with jungle zim/leveler/cultivator/slasher on requiement basis as directed by Engineer-in-Charge including removing to materials obtained from cutting out side the MD land. Grass cutting is to be done beyond 7.5m from the edge of runway, taxi track and parking area and height of grass shall not be more than 50mm after cutting complete all as specified and as directed. The contractor shall deploy additional tractor with jungle zim on requirement projected by the GE in writing.Note:- Site shall be made available as per the requirement or work projected by Air Force authorities. |

| 14 | Cleaning of silt or dirt or vegetation manually from open drains accumulated through rain water & storm air and removing the mud/garbage/debris outside MoD land including removing of existing materials complete all as specified and as directed. |
| 15 | Cleaning of silt or dirt or vegetation manually from drains (with RCC cover slab of thickness upto 400 mm and plane area or each cover slab not exceeding 1Sqm), accumulated through rain water & storm air and removing the mud/garbage/debris outside MoD land including removing of existing precast cement concrete cover slabs of drain (by manually/mechanically as per site requirement) and re-fixing of precast cover of drain at same location complete all as specified and as directed. |
| 16 | M&L for preparing of old black top surfaces by brooming with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with the use of air blowers to remove all loose dirts etc complete and applying cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by spraying with machine of total cold liquid PME @ 0.89 litre per Sqm (undiluted) in two coats with mineral filler as recomended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ralio 1:1 (PME:Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runway complete all as per manufacturer instruction complete all as specified and as directed.Note:- Following points shall be taken into consideration and rate quoted under this item is inclusive of :-(i)Due care shall be taken for friction parametres during application of PME as per ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standard.(ii)The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicator of PME manufacturers.(iii)Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks upto 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer\"s instruction.(iv) A performance guarrantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified.(v)Application of PME shall be done by flooding and wiping in both first coat and second coat with the help of wiper or as directed by the manufacturer.(vi) Skid registance test (Dry and Wet Condition) in every 5000 Sqm area of runway shall be carried out before and after PME by Govt. approved lab / by export technician of PME manufacturer as directed by GE.(vii) PME required more/less than 0.89 litre/Sqm (undiîuted) during execution of work shall be measured and paidseparately as supply only. |
