Routine Maintenance and proper checking of Railway Tracks attached to the railway sidings of FACT Godowns at Kalamassery in respect of rails, points and crossings , ballast, fixtures and fittings etc. for a period of one year including conveying required packing materials stacked at site, excavating 4cm below sleepers,packing ballast and lifting the tracks etc. and as mentioned in scope of work or specification in tender documents and as per directions or instructions ofEngineer in charge, or railway Engineers or railway standards and inspection.Each point and crossing will be treated and paid as 100M length each.(Proper checking of track including periodical cleaning and lubrication of rail joints, points and crossings during the period of each month etc. complete and a fitness certificate should be obtained from CPWI/PWI on every three months and submit the same to the department- 1AU(Activity unit)= 1.319KM/Month).

Labour charges for replacing the track rails, tongue rails, fish plates and bolts etc.issued by FACT UDL. Division including collecting and transporting the same from FACT (UDL) Stores, removing the existing damaged fittings from track, transporting and dumping the same to FACT(Udl.) Material Conservation Department, fixing the new fittings in track length as per railway standards and putting back the track in service condition within the time schedule.

Clearing grass and overgrowth of vegetation and small trees of girth up to 30cm including rooting out and removal of rubbish as per directions at site to outside the peripehery of area cleared on both sides of rail lines.

Marking and cutting the rails at required length as per instructions.

Marking and drilling holes for fixing fish bolts and nuts on rails wherever required as per instructions.

Deep screening of ballast using inclined M.S.Screens (to be arranged by the contractor) up to the formation level/ground level and initial aligning, grading of track to an approved longitudinal and transverse profile and rough kutcha packing on the day of screening including lifting the track in stages of not exceeding 75mm at a time to get the required cushion below bottom of sleepers to allow traffic at a restricted speed, loading and dumping the screened muck away from the yard as directed by the Engineer-in-charge of the work.Missing fittings if any will be supplied at site which will be provided by the Contractor as per track re-laying standard. (The work will be done under traffic condition).

Applying one coat of self priming coal tar epoxy paint, \"Rust-O-seal\" of asian Paints/ \"Protecteros CTE mastic\" of Berger Paints or equivalent approved quality coal tar epoxy having volume of solids 70%at all heights after cleaning the surface throughly including cost of paint, scaffolding charges, labour charges and all other incidential charges etc. complete as per departmental instructions at site.
