| 4 | Rudder stockRudder stock,Tiller unit,carrier bearing,gland unit and hydraulic acuator unit along with hydraulic rams to be reomved,Rudder stock,carrier bearing unit, upper and lower bearing bushes calibrated and offer to IRS andship staff,rudder stock NDT to be carried out,after completion of survey rudder stock to be fitted back along with new gland packing.Lifting eye pads fabrication,welding,testing and removal after completion of works.allconsumables and machining works, hydraulic jacks and hydraulic power pack, certified chain pulleys and slings,welding and gas cutting works are in contractor scope |
| 5 | Lower bearing bushRemove Lower bearing bush and clean the housing thoroughly.Inspect housing bore and check for scoring, corrosion, or ovality. All necessary tools and materials are in contractor scope.new bearing to be machined asper laser alignment report.Fitment of new bearings (usually by dry ice or liquid nitrogen) to shrink-fit into the tube housing. Insert bearings carefully into the housing without damaging surfaces. Allow the bearings to reach ambient temperature and achieve a tight interference fit and locked with screws.and bearingclearances showned to OEM and IRS .Satisfactory operation trials to be showned.All required consumables like dry ice or liquid nitrogen,and all machining works, hydraulic power packs, hydraulic jacks,pullers, certified lifting tools and slings, eye pad welding and testing, all welding and gascutting works are in contractor scope.Bush dimensions approx : ID=812mm,OD=871mm,L=930 mm |
