| 15 | COMMON NOTES TO ITEM NO 08 TO 14:- (1) The quoted rates shall be deemed to include the cost of all tools and plants (T&P) such as scaffolding, ladders, ropes, welding and cutting equipment, drilling machines, safety harnesses, lifelines, helmets and all other necessary safety gear and protective measures required for execution of the work at all heights, including working at heights up to 15 metres above ground level or as actually required at site.(2) The quoted rates shall also be deemed to include all fixing accessories, consumables and incidental items such as self-drilling screws with EPDM washers, G.I. anchor bolts, nuts, bolts, cleats, screws, rawl plugs, sealants, welding electrodes, fasteners and all other materials required for proper completion of the work in all respects, including incidental cutting, drilling, welding, removal of minor welded or bolted connections, safe lowering, stacking and removal of dismantled materials from site.(3) The contractor shall ensure adequate safety arrangements for all personnel engaged in the work and shall be solely responsible and liable for the safety of his workmen during execution, dismantling or installation operations. The Department shall bear no responsibility for any accident, injury or loss of life, and the contractor shall indemnify the Department against all such claims or damages.(4) In case the planned MS structure, truss, grill, purlin, bracing, roofing arrangement or similar work differs from the existing structure, proper measurement of the existing structure to be dismantled shall be recorded in the Measurement Book (MB) duly signed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 16 | M&L for leakage rectification and waterproofing treatment of inner walls and floors of Static Water Tanks (SWTs), comprising the following mandatory stages:(i) Removal of defective internal plaster,(ii) Crack / substrate repair,(iii) Surface preparation and application of polymer bonding coat,(iv) Correction plaster,(v) Application of elastomeric cementitious waterproofing coating,(vi) Protection plaster, and(vii) Leakage testing.NOTES:- (1) All above stages are compulsory, shall be executed strictly in the prescribed sequence, and the detailed scope, specifications, and method of execution shall be as per Annexure-A (Technical Specification & Method Statement for Leakage Rectification and Waterproofing of SWT), which forms an integral part of the contract.(2) The work shall be executed strictly in chronological sequence. No stage shall be omitted, altered, bypassed, or measured independently.(3) Application of the waterproofing system shall be carried out only by the OEM or their authorized OEM-certified applicators, duly approved in writing by the Engineer-in-Charge prior to commencement of work. (4) A sum equivalent to 2.5% of the total contract value shall be retained as a security deposit, to be released after 10 years from the date of completion. Alternatively, the contractor may deposit an FDR of equivalent amount in favour of GE. Any defects noticed during the guarantee period shall be rectified by the contractor at their own cost, failing which the amount shall be recovered from the retained sum / FDR.(5) Measurement shall be recorded in square metres (Sqm) of the finished internal surface area of walls and floor of the SWT, after full and proper completion of all prescribed stages and approval by the Engineer-in-Charge.
