| 6 | M&L for Raking out existing filling in Expansion joints of width exc 15 mm but n. exc. 30 mm up to required depth as specified & as directed by special tools like concrete cutter, wire/coir brushes/ machines and joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, making free from all the loose materials i.e., dirt, dust, grease, existing sealing compound, filler board (as required), including sticked material of existing compound raked up to full depth (up to 40mm) of joints etc to entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge and filling the joint with polyurethane joint sealing compound using mechanical means with depth of joint sealing compound not less than 13mm (minimum depth above the back up rod) with minimum performance guarantee of 5 years and minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) + 30% confirming to the requirements of BS-5212 and EN-141875-2003 for Hydrolysis/ water resistance test including applying primer (applied twice on one side by forward and reverse movement of brush) and filling the balance raked depth of joint with backup material i.e. polythene backup rod to ensure tight packing, so that no gaps or voids exist at the top of backup material separated by bond breaker tape over suitable size filler board in position where required and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces to give a neat finish to the sealant and remove the masking tape after sealant is applied as required complete as per manufacturer\"s instructions complete and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.(NOTE: Polythene back up rod, bond breaker tape and filler board, if required to be replaced shall be measured and paid separately. Cost of other materials are deemed to be included in the quoted rates) |
| 7 | S&F closed cell polythene back up rod, medium density for joints of width exc 15 mm but not exc 30 mm(NOTE: Width/Dia of back up rod shall be 20 to 25% more than the joint so that there is no seepage of sealant through joints edges) |
| 8 | S&F bond breaker tape, of approved quality, suitable for joints in concrete pavements of width exc 15 mm but not exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed. |
| 9 | Cutting of grass, shrubs, weeds, bushes, vegetation, etc. with the help of bush-cutting machine, including small shrubs/plants having girth up to 10 cm, along the sides of Runway, PTT, Links, etc., including collection and disposal of all cut materials, trimmings and waste outside Air Force land, complete all as specified and as directed.NOTES:(1)After cutting, the height of grass/shrubs/weeds/bushes/vegetation shall not exceed 150 mm. Measurement shall be made pocket-wise, which shall include cutting of edges in drains, PTT and any areas other than grass surfaces.(2)Measurement for payment shall be made after completion of the above-mentioned requirements, on a pocket-wise basis.(3) The pocket/task area shall be as decided and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.(4) Proper records indicating location and date of execution of the work shall be maintained by the contractor.(5) All tools & plants (T&P), machinery including fuel, and operator and labour required for execution of the work shall be arranged by the contractor.(6) Disposal of all waste is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. The contractor shall ensure immediate removal of all cut materials/trimmings under his own arrangements and dispose of the same outside Air Force land in accordance with Municipal Corporation/State Government regulations.(7) The contractor shall ensure that no waste/trimmings are blown onto Runways, PTT, Links, etc., and shall deploy additinal labour for immediate cleaning, blowing, sweeping and removal from site to prevent FOD. The contractor’s quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of this requirement |
| 10 | All as per Item No. 09 here-in-before, but the cutting of grass, shrubs, weeds, bushes and vegetation shall be carried out using a tractor-mounted, PTO-operated Rotary Mulcher Machine, complete all as specified and as directed. |
| 11 | Ploughing of SGA not less than 30 cm in depth using proper machinery/T&P & its connecting tools required for ploughing including breaking of soil lumps, levellling and finishing complete all as specified and directed.NOTE:- T&P, fuel and labour required for the job shall be arranged by the contractor. |
| 12 | Scraping of grass shurbs, weeds, bushes, vegetation etc manually at ground level including removal of small irregularities in natural ground & levelling including collecting and disposing all waste, trimmings etc outside AF land as required, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.NOTES : (1) This item is intended for narrow stretch or location which is inaccessible by machines.Measurement for this itemshall be considered upto a max width of 75cm.(2) Proper record shall be maintained wrt location & date of execution of work.(3) Disposal of waste is deemed to be included in quoted rates. Contractor shall ensure immediate removal of all waste materials after cutting, trimming etc under his own arrangement and dispose off outside AF land as per Municipal Corporation/State Govt regulations. |
