| 22 | Material and labour for cleaning the surface of runway with wire brush and air compressor making the surface free from dus,dirt,mud etc. and applying of PME and aggergates as follows:-(a) Applying only polymer modified bitumen emulsion by spraying with truck mounted contrail and sprayer complete to uniformly apply one coat of PME at required pressure of PME 0.30 litre per Sqm for one coat diluted in ratio 1:1 (PME and water ) by volume and ensure uniform finish of flexible pavement.(b) Immediately following the application of the bitumen emulsion fine aggregate shall be spread uniformly over the bitumen emulsion. The aggregate shall be spread to specific areas where Micro/Macro texture needs correction and shall not be applied in such thickness as to cause blanketing.NOTE:- (i) Suitablemeasures to be taken to avoidspreading/Splashing of emulsion to runway painting while applying the emulsion in flexible shoulder.(ii) If more than one coat required to be done each coat will be measured separately.(iii) Work has to be carried out through authorised applicator only. |
