| 44 | NOTES FOR ITEM NO 42:-(1) Painting shall be carried out using an airless paint sprayer machine with adequate pressure.(2) The work lies inside the technical area of Sirsa Air Force Station. Since the station is an active flying station, there may be restrictions on working hours. The contractor shall take this into account while quoting rates. No claim shall be entertained for delays or restrictions during the currency of work.(3) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include all tools and plants (T&P) required for the complete removal of old paint layers.(4) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include the cost of cement paste or cement mortar required for filling cracks, voids, or minor damages.(5) The contractor shall procure paint and primer directly from the manufacturer and submit the purchase vouchers accordingly. Procurement from dealers is not acceptable under this contract.(6) Paint and primer shall be supplied in sealed containers and kept in the MES Store under the custody of the concerned JE (Civil). The contractor’s supervisor shall be responsible for the daily collection of containers from the JE (Civil). |
| 45 | M&L for preparing and painting old decorated/painted steel angles or surfaces of any description over boundary walls by applying two coats of first-quality synthetic enamel paint, complete, all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.NOTE: Rates quoted by the tenderer shall be deemed to include the following:-(a) The scope of work includes painting angle iron sections over boundary walls fixed as supports for barbed wire and concertina coil. The work shall be carried out between the existing barbed wire and concertina coil. Contractors shall quote their rates considering these constraints; no claim shall be admissible later.(b) Surfaces shall be cleaned to remove loose dirt, dust, lichen, algae, fungi, rust, or loose paint using a stiff brush, washed thoroughly, and allowed to dry before painting.(c) All necessary safety measures for workers shall be ensured by the contractor prior to execution. The Department shall not be liable for any untoward incidents.(d) The quoted rate shall include the cost of all necessary scaffolding and formwork required for working at heights up to approximately 3.5 m. |
