| 4 | M&L for Preparing un-surfaced Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with power brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a prime coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion SS1 confirming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.7 - 1 kg/sqm on surface of WMM/ WBM as specified in Table 500-3 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer complete all as specifed and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 5 | M&L for Providing, laying & Compaction of bituminious, macadam (BM) compacted thickness not exceeding 75 mm thick conforming to clause 504 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridges works (Fifth Revision) using mechanically crushed stone aggregates and granual material etc of grading II as per Table 500-7 of MoRT&H specification for Road and Bridges work (Fifth revision) Premixed with bituminious binder bitumen grade VG-30 @3.4% (percent by weight of total mix) prepared in batch type Hot Mix Plant transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 6 | Notes : (i) Mix Design for Bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 3.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision).(ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 55.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. |

| 9 | M&L for Bitumenous concrete (BC) 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) layer confirming to clause 507 of MORT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler with 5.4 % binder (VG-30) contents by weight of total mix, crushed aggregate of grading 2, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved job mix formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen of specific temperature throughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen contact, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives as per mix design in hot mix plant (batch type) of 100-120 TPH capacity, carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved and and suitable arrangements, laying and hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher......Contd.. |
| 10 | Contd..including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, including level and camber through rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tendom roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Notes: (i) Job Mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/CTL/Govt Engg Collage and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. | 11 | (ii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.(iii) Cost of Filler i.e. rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate.(iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 55.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.(v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRT&H specification entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause No. 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. |
