| 5 | Tail shaft removal and re-fitment Complete withdrawal of tail end shaft along with Propeller(45 tons) by disconnecting the muff couplings. All fitted bolts to remove from muff coupling.After withdrawal the tail end shaft to place on support on dock floor safely with all lockings.inspection of tail end shaft and propeller,cleaning,polishing,calibration and surface roughness checks of tail shaft and stern tube bushes. required NDT tests(MPI for shaft and DP for propeller) to be carried out to fulfil class requirements and shafts to be produced for survey. After completion of survey same to be fitted in place as perprocedure.all clearances to measure and record. All activities to be carried out in the presence of shipstaff.Heavy gauge Eye pads to be fabricated and welded in shaft line for shaft lifting.all consumables,certified 25 tons chain pulleys and lifting belts,hydraulic pumps and jacks,pullers, lifting tools andslings,eye pad welding and testing,machining works,welding and gas cutting works are in contractor scope. |
| 6 | Shaft sleevesRemoval of existing tail shaft sleeve and installation of new sleeves (supplied by HSL) .New sleeves dimensions shell be measured and machined to the required shrinkage allowance and subsequently fitted on the shaft.All necessarytools and consumables are in contractor scope |
| 7 | Stern tube bearings removal and re-fitment (Fwd and Aft)Assistance required to OEM for removal of existing Stern tube bearings and installation of new bearings (supplied by HSL) .New bearings dimensions shell be measured and machined to the required shrinkage allowance and subsequentlyfitted in the stern tube by using dry ice and locked with screws.All necessary tools andconsumables,required Dry ice,machining works, hydraulic jacks,pullers,welding and gas cutting works are in contractor scope. |
| 8 | Laser Alignment for shaft lineLaser Alignment for new stern tube bearings fitment in shaft line, mount laser alignment equipment on the shaft line and align targets on both buses bearing centres and plummer blocks. Measure offsets and angular misalignments. Adjust shaft supports to achieve precise alignment within tolerances as per class requirements. After completion of above works system to be showned to IRS and Ship staff. Provide alignment reports. |
| 9 | Propeller blades removed and replacement of foot seals.Remove the propeller blades from Hub,blade bolts to be removed by hydraulic torque machine only,Cleane the blade foot area thoroughly,Dismantle and remove the existing foot rings and seals,DP test carried out on blades tip and foot areaand provide reports,Refitment of propeller blades with new seals(ship supply) and blade bolts to be tightened required torque as per makers procedures and bolts locking strips to be welded in presence of ships staff,arranging of hydraulictorque tightening machine in contractor scope. Hub oil to be drained in empty drums and filled new oil around 400 ltrs(HLP 46- 400 ltrs HSL supply),collect an oil sample from Hub and submit it for lab analysis and reports to besubmitted.all consumables,certified chain pulleys and lifting belts,hydraulic torque machine,eye pad welding and testing,machining works,welding and gas cutting works are in contractor scope. |

| 11 | Shaft Loading Checksa) Shaft Loading Checks of Main Propulsion Shafting (Gearbox Output Shaft Bearing, Plummer Blocks 1, 2 and 3 and Stern Tube Fwd Bearing). Job includes draining of plummer blocks’ oil, removal of shaft pass cover, loosening of bulkhead glands, fixture of dial gauges, removal of top cover of all three Plummer Blocks,aftercompelition of shaft loading checks,same to be fitted back and tightened by torque spaner and recharge of Plummer Blocks oil. Make – M/s Wartsila Shaft length/ Dia – 37m/ 500mm. Shaft Loading reports to be submitted to ship.all required hydraulic jacks and consumables are in contractor scope |

Job includes complete dismantling, cleaning all parts, inspection, assemble with new spares,check true runningand axial distance, seal testing and satisfactory trials (Sea trials) to be carried out in presence of OEM engineers. All consumables, certified tools and tackles and measuring instruments (OEM requirements) are under contractor scope. |
