| 3 | M&L bituminous premixed semi-dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 penetration by weight of total mix laid using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber using power roller of capacity exc. 8 tonne but not exc. 12 tonne and includingpreparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag to remove loose dirts and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bitumen primer at 5 Kg per 10 Sqm using paving bitumen over existing black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed. |
| 4 | Note: For design purpose min. binder content is specified as 5.5%for VG-30 grade bitumen and it shall not reduce under any circumstances. During design stage, if binder content exceeds 5.5% no extra payment shall be made to contractor for excess use of binder. |
