| 3 | DOUBLE SCAFFOLDING SYSTEM(cup lock type):Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of G + 13 storeyed building/structure for all heights above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Note:- (1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. (2) The payment will be made once (one time) only for execution of all the items of works requiring scaffolidng (3) No extra/additional payment shall be made for removal and refixing of scaffolding, if done by the contractor for any reason/s. (4) Entire scaffolding material used shall be the property of the contractor and shall be removed and taken away by the contractor after completion of work. (5) Any damages to the wall and other parts of the building caused due to the fixing and removing of scaffolding shall be repaired by the contractor on his own cost. | 8 | STRUCTURAL POLYMER REPAIR (UPTO 15mm THICKNESS):Repairing to the existing RCC structural members (vertical or horizontal) using ready mix Polymer Modified Mortar (Fibre reinforced structural grade repair mortar) of approved brand where the thickness of repair is upto 15 mm. It can be used for carrying out extensive repairs to beams, columns, slab, and other structural elements, repairing of structural members subjected to repetitive loading for strengthening. Procedure for carrying out repair Polymer Modified Mortar -Surface preparation- (separate payment shall be made ) All loose traces of concrete or mortar, dust, grease oil, etc. must be removed. Damaged or contaminated concrete shall be removed to obtain a keyed aggregate exposed surface. Non-impact/ vibrating cleaning methods, e.g. grit or high pressure water blasting are recommended. Clean all exposed reinforcement to a minimum grade of Sa 2 according to ISO 8501-1 / ISO 2944-4. Ensure all visible portions of the reinforcing bar is clean. Where reinforcing bars are corroded, cut back the concrete around the reinforcing bars, Grit blast to remove corrosion products from around reinforcing bars and coat with approved epoxy coating for corrosion protection or any other protective coating as recommended by the Structural Engineer to protect from corrosion. Replace the affected part of rebar if the diameter after grit blasting is found reduced by more than 20% of the original diameter on the advice of the structural engineer responsible for the works. Bond Coat- (separate payment shall be made only for bond coat used for old surface to new surface) Providing & applying One coat of structural grade epoxy bond coat by brush conforming to ASTM-C-882-87 to the prepared concrete surface to be repaired / strengthened and repairingwith PMM shall be done when the surface is tacky. Mixing -Only full bags are mixed. Damaged or opened bags should not be used. Mix the ready-mix Polymer Modified Mortar in a forced action pan mixer, or with a helical paddle attached to alow speed (300-600rpm) mixer for 3 minutes until a lump free, thixotropic consistency is achieved. Only use clean water. Mixing water needed: 3.75 to 4.25 litres per 25kg bag or as recommended by the Manufacturer of Polymer Modified Mortar. Allow the mortar to rest for 2 - 3 minutes and then nremix briefly before pouring into formwork. If temperature more than 40°C then use chilled water for mixing.Mortar application- The minimum temperatures must be maintained duringapplication and for at least 24 hours thereafter for optimumcuring of the product. The prepared substrate should be presoaked, preferably for 24 hours, but at least 2 hours beforeapplying Polymer Modified Mortar. The surface must besaturated surface dry, but without standing water. PolymerModified Mortar can be spray- or hand-applied. Apply mixedproduct directly to the prepared damp substrate, or wet on wetonto the primed surface. Spraying the material with the necessary pressure will ensure good adhesion o fthematerial.A thin scrape coatorcontac tlayer before building upto ther equired thickness, wet on wet, will improveadhesionespecially in case of hand application. Apply to the desiredlayer thickness upto 15 mm and level using a screeding bar,trowel or woodenboard. The props are erected in perfect vertical in plumb taking / transferring the load equally / uniformly. The location of every prop should be one over another floor and it should not be eccentric. | 16 | EXTERNAL SAND FACE PLASTER:Providing and applying external sand faced cement plaster at all positions and levels with cement mortar ( 1 cement :4 fine screened sand ) in two coats for masonry and concrete surfacesincluding surface preparation, raking out joints, hacking concrete surface, base coat of 15mm thick in C.M. 1:4 added with approved water proofing admixture conforming to IS 2645 and 6mm long polypropylene fibers conforming to ASTM C 1116 Type III in proportions recommended by the manufacturer specifications and curing the same for not less than three days and keeping the surface of base coat rough to receive the sand face treatment 6 to 8 mm thick of C. | 23 | TERRACE TOP WATERPROOF IPS & CHINA MOSAIC:Filling all the cracks/voids with cement sand mortar to making the surface smooth then providing 02 coat of waterproof chemical of approved brand two coats of waterproofing chemical with a broad stiff brush in long paralleled strokes complete and thereafter providing & doing Cement mortar (IPS) made from cement and fine sand in proportion of 1:5 is spread uniformly on the surface of 20 mm to 25 mm uniformly. This bed is left to harden for one day and make the surface rough to receive the china Mosaic. Cure the finished IPS for atleast seven days.Providing & Fixing mix colourd china mosaic in cement mortar 1:4 and pressed & filled in position. The joints between these two pieces shouldn’t exceed more than 3 to 4 mm. These pieces are hammered with wooden mallet to achieve uniform surface. Make the projected edge (kani) between the parapet plaster and the watta on second day.The surface is cleaned with saw dust to remove excess cement sticking to the glazed china mosaic surface. If surface is not cleaned thoroughly by this method then the same shall be cleaned with dilute acid after one month, as directed by the consultants. Completed work is then cured for 15 days by ponding method including stitching of joints between terrace & Parapet as per direction of consulting Engineer In-Charge. |
| 24 | TERRACE, LIFT ROOM, WATER TANK TOP, STAIRCASE HEAD ROOM AND PARAPET WALL SURFACE WATERPROOFING COATING OF DR. FIXIT ROOFSEAL ULTRA OR EQUIVALENT:-After surface prepration as per the product data sheet of Dr. Fixit roofseal ultra apply by using Dilute 2 parts of Dr. Fixit Primeseal with 1 part of water to cover 8 sq. m. Allow the primer coat to dry for 6 to 8 hours. Stir well before using.then Apply the 1st coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra waterproof coating without dilution at a rate of 0.70-0.75 liters per sq. m. per coat. Lay down a 45 GSM fiber glass mesh into the coating as a sandwich layer while the first coat is still wet.Second coat application: Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 4-6 hours before applying the second coat at a 90° angle to the first coat. Apply the second coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra waterproof coating without dilution at a rate of 0.70-0.75 liters per sq. m. per coat, ensuring total material consumption of 1.40–1.50 liters per sq. m. in 2-3 coats. Ensure there are no pinholes or air bubbles on the membrane.
