| 4 | Notefor item No 2.00 :-(i) Girders box type with section fabricated using fresh tested steel plates conforming to IS: 2062 Gr ‘A’ obtained directly from Main steel producers (like SAIL, RINL, TATA, Vizag steel,Jindal), cut to size using the latest CNC profile cutting machines and welded using modern welding practices. All welds shall be subjected to radiography to ensure defect free welds.(ii) Hoisting Mechanism, with specially designed crab unit for double girder, engineered for smooth jerk free, and soft start, lifting of loads. Hoist drive with speeds through VVVF drives selected according to the class of duty, driving the rope drum, through helical gear box.The rope drum shall be made out of seamless pipes fabricated from plates tested as per ASTM/IS standards.(iii) Gear Boxes with helical gears, oil lubricated, manufactured using the modern gear cutting machines, duly heat treated to withstand the stringent load conditions and selected according to class of duty commensurate with type of application.(iv) End carriages with standard wheel bases fabricated using the modern welding and machining techniques to ensure jerk free and smooth travel motion. The wheels shall be double flanged, supported on self aligning anti-friction bearings.Buffers shall be provided at the ends of the carriage as per IS Standards. (v) Brakes for all drives shall be Electro-Hydraulic Thruster brakes according to the application. (vi) Lifting Hooks- Hooks shall be shank type supported on anti friction thrust bearing and the sleeve pulleys shall be made out of malleable cast iron or fabricated, conforming to IS: 3815.(vii) Controls: The crane shall be controlled by pendant push button type . The main electrical components shall be suitable for indoor application conveniently located for easy maintenance.Standard protection devices for overload protection and short circuit protection shall be provided.(viii) All other incidental, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical works(ix). The subject cranes are meant for the purpose of handling NSTL user requirements only.(x). The department shall be responsible for providing suitably rated electrical outlet in the Main Electrical Control Panel/Main Distribution Board of the buildings.(xi).All other works, electrical earthings and associated incidental and minor works shall be the responsibility of the contractor. |
| 5 | (xii). The details of RCC brackets, end plates etc shall be verified by the contractor and shall certify that these are sufficient and meets the requirement of his design & submit test report to department along with sample approval.(xiii). The shop floor environment will be dust prone, humid, welding fume filled and ambient temperature going up to 50ºC. Weather conditions are tropical. Crane shall be kept in the normal shop floor condition without any temperature controlled enclosure / shop. Max. temperature variation is 25 deg Celsius in 24 hours.Ambient Temperature: 4º C - 50º C & relative Humidity: 55%.(xiv). Major Technical specifications of the crane are given below. These are to be complied with by the contractor / manufacturer. The parameters which are not specified are to be as per Contractors\"/OEM\"s own design.The contractor shall submit following drawings, giving all design parameters and get the drawings approved from the Accepting Officer for all cranes with in one month after acceptance of the contract. (xv).Contractor should physically visit the site & ensure the ground conditions before quoting the tender.(xvi).Any civil work i.e. dismantling the walls/reconstruction of walls etc. making good the existing wall to be done contractor with out extra cost.(xvii).Any minor changes required at site should be included in the rate quoted by contractor.(xviii).Contractor should replace the cranes without disturbingany structure,lab equipments necessary tools & plants to be consider accordingly without extra cost.(xix).Clear span and bay length specified and shown on building are only indicative. The tenderer shall visit the site and ascertain exact span and bay length before designing/execution.(xx).Unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include provision of copper wiring of suitable size in rigid metallic conduits with accessories fixed on surfaces from main switch upto electrical control panels and provision of ISMC channel welded alongwith ISMB (gantry girder) and longitudinal travelling rail welded alongwith ISMC.(xxi).For Maintenace & repairs of crane the cost for OEM recommendation cranes ladder for all cranes as per site conditions should be included in the contractor quoted rate.(xxii).Maintenance / service platform made of 6.0 mm thick chequered plate of 750 mm width shall be provided & fixed through bolted joints only.A hand railing 1000mm height are to gaurd(minimum 50mm) shall also be provided.Platform shall have anti-skid grating and the same cost should be included in the contractor quoted rate. |

| 7 | Mechanical Joints: Fit Bolts (as per IS 3640 –1982) for all joints coming in main members. Heat Treatment & NDT Examination: The Trolleys shall be stress relieved, if necessary, by thermal heat-treatment process after welding & NDT. All welding shall be tested by NDT means [MPI, LPI & RT] after stress relieving operation (Govt. approved Test House & and production of certificate).Manufacturer to furnish the details of facilities for Heat Treatment furnace & NDT Lab at their works. All the welded joints shall be NDT tested by Govt. approved Test House & certificate / X-Ray films to be submitted at time of inspection.Gear & Gear Boxes Details: Gear Box should be of fabricated type duly stress relieved. Pinions made of En 24 and gears of En 18. Gears in all the Stages shall be helical in design and to be of machined, lapped and hardened Straight and helical gearing shall normally be used for all motions.Worm and bevel gears shall not be used. First and high speed reductions shall be through helical gears. All first reduction pinions and also the other pinions if feasible shall be integral with the shafts. All gears shall be of hardened and tempered alloy or carbon steel with machine cut teeth. Gear tooth shall be cut in metric module system. Lubrication: Suitable lubrication system shall be provided for gear box, all rotating parts wherever applicable. Rope Drum: Shall be of fabricated type stress relieved or seamless pipe. The circumferential weld joints shall be tested by 100% XRay quality. The size of drum shall be as per OEM.Wheel :Track wheels shall be of MS steel with casted phosper bronze at tread area and flange.Tread mean dia of wheel for cross travel shall be of forged steel and for long travel forged steel. Type of Coupling: Couplings shall be flexible geared Barrel type. No pin/bush/rubber type coupling to be used. Machining Operation: All mechanical mating surfaces and wheel seating areas are to be machined to the required finish and protected. Hoist Wire Rope Details: Fiber core confirming to IS: 2266. Mention Wire rope No. of fall -04 6x36 constructions with a minimum breaking load of 1770 N/MM SQ. |
| 8 | Input Power Supply: Shall be 415 ± 10% Volts, 50 ± 3% Hz, 3 Phase, AC. Control Voltage: Shall be 110V AC Motor Details: All the electric motors shall be of crane duty of appropriate rating, 415 volts, 50 cycles per second, 3 phase, AC, totally enclosed,The temperature rise should be accordingly to the limits specified in ISS-325. Motors shall be suitable for reversing frequent acceleration and mechanical breaking. All crane motors shall be totally enclosed with cooling arrangement. All electrical controls shall be with IP:65 protection. Make:- Bharat Bijlee/Crompton/Marathon/NGEF.Details of Brakes for all motions: Electro Hydraulic Thruster type to be provided to hold the mechanism in position as soon as the power supply is \"OFF\" either accidentally or intentionally for all motions.Wiring: All the panel wiring shall be done by using standard multicore Copper highly flexible, double insulated cables and of Butyl Rubber.Earthing for Electrical items in Crane: Shall be carried out as per IS.MULTICORE CABLES Multi core power and control cables suitably clamped to the crane structure shall be used. Suitable clamping glands shall be provided at both ends of each multi core cables.INSTALLATION The cable and wiring system for each motion shall be independent and common returns shall be provided. Main cable and control wiring shall be effectively separated. Cable runs shall not be installed in any place where they will impede the crane driver\"s view. The cable shall be easily accessible and shall not hamper the movement of persons on the crane.Make:- Polycab/ Finolex/ Asian/RR kable /UniversalDSL : Shrouded Bus Bar Type GI 100A cost should be inluded in contractor quoted rate. Two way lever type for CT both direction and LT both direction.Painting Instructions:(a) Painting: Before dispatch of the crane, the complete components covering structural, mechanical and electrical parts of the crane shall be thoroughly cleaned of all dirt, grease, scales rust and then given single coat of primer. Mechanical and electrical components shall be given an additional finishing coat of Synthetic Enamel paint as per manufacturer\"s instruction. The bright exposed part of the crane shall be given one coat of rust inhibitor. After erection the complete crane moving parts and electrical components shall be painted with two coats of Synthetic Enamel paint. The various components of the crane shall be painted in different colour as per the code of practice. |
| 9 | INSPECTION: The following Schedule of Inspections shall be strictly adhered to, prior to dispatch from the Supplier Works, Pre-dispatch inspection shall be carried out by rep of Accepting Officer according to these drawings only.(a).Verification of Test certificate for Raw materials used for Girders, end carriages, Hoist, Gear box casings etc - contractor to comply(b).Verification of X-Ray report of butt joints coming in the girders and Random testing on the welds by Physical examination-contractor to comply(c).Inspection of Bridges and End carriages with Wheel assembly and Alignment checking-contractor to comply.(d).Verification of Span and diagonal dimensions, Checking of Wheel Alignment, Mechanical Assemblies and Total Alignment-contractor to comply.(e).Free running of the CT and Hoist mechanisms-contractor to comply 6.Check of Crane span and diagonal-10 kg pull should be applied while checking-contractor to comply.(f).Measurement of CAMBER in the bridges-contractor to comply(g).Full/ Rated Load Test and deflection test- contractor to comply(h).125% OVER-LOAD Lifting ability check-contractor to complyCrane Erection & Commissioning :-Unloading & Erection: Unloading the consignment at site will be carried out by the Contractor.Contractor shall shift the all crane material to site and erect the crane at MES site.Necessary tools and equipments required for erection shall be brought by the Contractor.Crane Commissioning :-(a).Prove out for the Crane’s Capacity and Smooth Functioning of the Crane (at site) shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.Final Load testing as per ISS at 125% of rated load shall be conducted at site by the representative of Accepting Officer in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge.Load shall be arranged by contractor from location at site shown by Engr-in-charge.(b).All safety equipments like safety boot,saftey belt, helmet,gloves,loader,googles etc required for erection personnel shall be brought bt contractor-contractor to complyTOOLS & SPARES :(i) Tool box with standard tools shall be supplied with the crane.(ii) Recommended spares for two years normal working of equipment shall be furnished. Details of bearings, oil seals used should be supplied with the crane.O & M Manuals : Five (05) sets, of Erection, Operation and Maintenance Manual along with two sets of CDs, containing the following technical drawings and details shall be submitted.All copies shall be hard bound in high quality leather folders, encased in decent individual boxes. |

NOTES:- (i) On testing, after completion of Job, if desired earth resistance is not obtained, the earthing shall be redone at without any extra cost by contractor. (ii) Earth lead wire and its protection pipe upto and including 7.50 M from the top of earth electrode are included under this item and additional length if required at site will be measured and paid separately under respective item. |
