Then the surface to be cleaned with a high-pressure water jet at a pressure of 2000 to 3000 psi. to make the surface dust-free and well-prepared for coating. Any cracks, honeycombs, or damaged areas on the surface shall be repaired using suitable polymer-modified mortar to make the surface sound and level before proceeding with the waterproofing application. Once the surface is adequately prepared, two coats of Fosroc Brushbond RFX or approved equivalent waterproofing membrane shall be applied using a brush or roller. The second coat shall be applied in a perpendicular direction to the first after the specified drying time. The entire process shall be executed under the supervision of the Engineer-in-Charge and in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines for optimal waterproofing performance and durability. |
