| 5 | M&L for Preparing of black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air pressure through air jet using air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc incl removing mud etc to a distance minimum 1.50m from edge of road and applying evenly a tack coat of bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) at the rate of 5 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated hot pressure mechanisum, supplying, laying, spreading 40mm consolidated thickness of semi dense asphaltic bituminous concrete carpet (VG-30) with 0.406 cum crushed and graded coarse aggregates with design mix formula with bitumen not less than 5.5% using paver with mechanical paver all as specified in clause device for automatic leveling and profile control within the specified tolerance as mentioned in SSR Part-I , rolledwith 8 to 10 tone power Roller to uniform smooth surface and consolidated to required camber and gradient with power roller for uniform smooth surface complete all as specified and directed.Note:- Design mix for Srl item No. 4 & 5 shall be based on job mix formula, in case the binder content (i.e. Bitumen) is less than the content specified under these items then a minus adjustment @ Rs 50/- per kg of bitumen (less consumed) shall be applied on the quoted rate of contractor against these items, hence the quoted rate of contractor shall be reduced based on less content of bitumen required as per job mix formula. However, no price adjustment on plus side shall be made for increase of quantity of bitumen in case of required as per job mix formula. |
