| 1 | Supplying installation, testing and commissioning of Indoor Vaccum Circuit breaker (Incoming cum Outgoing), totally metal clad horizontally isolated and horizontally draw out type Consisting of VCB 400 amps HT 11 KV, should be capable to operate at voltage variation of ±10%, corresponding highest system voltage 12 KV,3 phase, frequency 50 Hz with ±3% tolerance, breaking capacity of 13.1 KA, having rupturing capacity 250 MVA for 3 seconds horizontal isolationconforming to IS-13943 of latest version and horizontal draw out type 11 KV totally enclosed extensible pattern with automatic drop down and independent spring charging type motor operated closing mechanism including motor suitable for operation on 230 volt single phase 50 cycle AC supply system and manually operating system with 30/110 volt DC shunt trip coil with Auxiliary switches mechanical ON/OFF indicator with protective relays and conforming to IS 3427 of 1997 to latest amendment, suitable for tropical conditions of max ambient temperature 50 deg and minimum temperature 3.5 deg with relative humidity 10% to 95%, with main bus bar shall be of copper, the Vacuum circuit breaker should be of truck/trolley mounted and must have three nos resin encapsulated vacuum bottles of same manufacturer as of circuit breaker, and vacuum bottles shall be epoxy encapsulated, the vacuum circuit breaker shall be fully tested for internal arc (13.1 KA for 3 sec) as per latest IEC 62271-200 at CPRI/ accredit lab complete all as specified with and including following items:- |
| 2 | (a) Auxiliary Power supply :The Auxiliary electrical equipments provided by the manufacturer for specified operation of the circuit breaker shall be suitable for operation for AC control & protective devices, lighting fixtures, space heaters 100 watt and motors AC supply 1 phase 2 wire, AC supply with one point grounded voltage : 240± 10% and frequency should be 50 Hz± 10%. For DC alarm, control and protective devices D.C. supply 2 wire, DC source from batteries with midpoint grounded. The available DC supply voltage is 30 V DC, Voltage : 30 V, -15% to +10%(b) Operating Mechanism Housing and Breaker Cabinets: The specification covers the requirements of control cabinets and associated equipment.Cabinets shall preferably be of the free standing floor mounting type for HV CBs. Sheet steel shall be at least 3.0 mm thick. Control cabinets shall be provided with double hinged door and padlocking arrangement. The enclosures shall be dust, moisture and vermin proof, to provide a Degree of protection to IP 55 in accordance with IS 12063/1987, 15mm thick neoprene or better type of gaskets shall be provided to ensure degree of protection of at least IP55 as per IEC: 529.It shall be accommodate following items: Mechanical ON & OFF knobs (TNC), Electrical ON/OFF push buttons, CB Mechanical ON/OFF indicator, CB Electrical ON/OFF indicator, Mechanical spring charged indicator, Electrical spring charge indicator , Auxiliary A.C./D.C. supply indication, Conveniently located manual emergency trip, Auxiliary switches as specified elsewhere in this Specification, Control cable termination connector blocks, One power plug along with control switch (240V, 10A), Space heater along with ON/OFF switch andThermostat, Cubical illumination lamp with switch, Mechanical Operation counter to register the number of breaker operations, Trip circuit Healthy-1 indication, Trip circuit Healthy-2 indication or any other as specified by the manufacturer shall be considered.(c)Self powered microprocessor controlled numeric relay comprising of two over current, one earth fault protection relay with high set for both phase and earth and with fault memory universal auxiliary supply as per IS-3231, 8686 The setting for over current shall be upto 200% of 5A and for earth fault element. |

(j) Multifunction meter of Acc class 0.5, having facility to see KW, KVA, KVR, PF, KWH, KVARH, KVAH, A, V etc. (secure/ L&T make) & Master trip relay.(k) The circuit breaker shall be provided with motor operated spring charged closing. (l) Spring charging motor shall be suitable for 240V, 50 Hz, single phase AC. (m) Suitable rating starter shall be provided for Motor protection. Spring release coil for closing shall be suitable for 30V DC.Provision shall be available for charging the springs manually as well, and to close CB mechanically.(n) Adequate quantity of cable glands of suitable size shall be provided(o) Equipments and devices shall be suitable for operation on specified auxiliary A.C. supply system. For protection of AC/DC aux. circuits, MCBs of suitable capacity & reputed make to be provided.(p) The motor shall be adequately rated to carry out a minimum of 10 close and open operations continuously.Also, provision shall be made to protect the motor against overloads. In case of failure of power supply of spring charging motor, the mechanism shall be capable of performing one sequence of 0 - 0.3 Sec - CO. The time taken for charging of closing spring shall not exceed 30 seconds. The spring charging shall take place automatically preferably after a closing operation. |
| 4 | Name and Rating Plate: a) Circuit Breaker and its operating device shall be provided with rating plate/s made out of corrosion proof metal, marked with the following data. Provision for terminating 3 core XLPE Cable of required size.(vi)Suitable no. of Space heater-100W (continuously rated) with thermostat control for breaker/CT compartment with manual ON-OFF switch.(vii) Structural steel frame including PCC foundation and earthwork as per manufacturer specifications.(viii)1 No 3-way breaker control switch with positions TRIP-NEUTRAL-CLOSE(ix) Both manual spring charging and motorised spring charging and operating arrangement.
