| 17 | 17) Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, upto 25 metre height, above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and/ or pointing and/ or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. |
| 18 | (i) The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. |
| 19 | ii)Note :-(1)The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. (2) : The payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works. |
| 20 | 18) Application of BRUSH BOND RFX on roof slabs, toilets, sunken floors by following method; |
| 21 | i)Cracks other than hairline should be suitably widened to free from loose particle and fill them with mortar consisting Nitoband EP of Fosroc or its equivalent (2 Nitoband EP :5 Cement:15 graded sand) as per manufacturers specifications |
| 22 | ii) Scrub and clean the surface to free it from any loose flakes or particles |
| 23 | iii) Moisten the surface with water jet prior to operation |
| 24 | iv) Prepare a slurry consisting of 1n 1 part of Brushbond RRor its equilent and 1.25 parts of fresh white cement or grey cement by weight as directed by engineer in charge (mixing is done by using a low speed stirrer or continuos hand mixing to a lump free consistence |
| 25 | v)apply the slurry by brush to the damp surface |
| 26 | vi)apply two or more coats of similar slurry at 3 to 4 hour intervals. |
| 27 | vii) allow to set for 12 to 24 hours. |
| 28 | viii) Water shall be filled completely for observing for any leakages and if there are any leakages the entire operation shall be carried out again till there are no leakages observed. |
