Note : -(i) Dismantling the VCB//RMU of any type from the enclosure consisting of vacuum interrupter assembly, socket contacts, checking the serviceability of the following parts carefully including cleaning, adjustments, replacements, of defective/won our parts and re-assembling the complete(a) Cleaning the external surface of bushing with CTC or liquid ammonia to remove the accumulation of dirt or any other deposits.Inspection of bushings and make sure that vibration due to break operation have not caused the bushings to move resulting misalignment of contacts.(b) Checking the vacuum/RMU interrupter assembly and contact Checking the alignment of contacts and setting the contact surfaces to bare firm and uniform pressure and adjust the gap as per manufacture tolerance.Badly potted contact needs to be replaced Note Contacts shall be ordered separately (c) Checking the breaker bushing of bus bar and circuit side inspecting the interval surface carefully for any charging/tracking, replacement of bushings.(ii) Dismantling the spring Charging mechanism of VCB/RMU, checking the operations of closing/tripping through closing/tripping coils electrically as well as manual charging including cleaning adjustments and replacement of defective/worn out parts re-assembly complete for the following(a) Checking the ratchet wheel assembly, driving and charging parts including replacement of defective ratchet wheel and like parts(b) Checking the ratchet wheel assembly, driving and charging parts including replacement of defective ratchet wheel and like parts(c) Checking the operation mechanism of breaker and ensure its operation freely through entire stroke.Parts which shows excessive wear and tear to be replaced or adjusted as per manufactures tolerance.(d) Checking of operating voltage watt mechanism terminals tripping arrangement for positive tripping. Contacts to be examined for their condition and operation.Dress the pitted contacts and replace if necessary.(iii) Review the adjustment of all pressure switched land lockout devices.(iv) Inspecting all bolts, nuts pins and collar pins and in place and they are tight and opened properlyNote : Cost of additional hardware like bolts, nuts, washers and springs, washers, petroleum jelly etc, to put the breaker in serviceable condition is deemed to be included in the quoted rate and cost of Inspection, cleaning and re-lubrication of circuit breaker is also included in quoted rates. |
