M&L for Preparing of old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with using air blowers to remove all loose dirt etc complete and applying cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) byspraying with machine of total cold liquid PME 0.89 lit minimum per Sqm (undiluted) for two coats as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), PME Shall be diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME :WATER) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runway complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (PME shall be of EinC approved make)Notes :A. The tenderer shall take into consideration for the following points while quoting his rate for this item :-(a)Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO standard.(b) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufacturer only. (c)Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up to 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer’s instructions. (d)A performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified.(e) Application of PME shall be done by spray nozzle in bothfirst coat and second coat.(f) Application of PME shall be done under the supervision of manufacturer\"s technical experts.NOTE :B: Conducting of following tests over Flexible portion of Runway surfaces before and after application of PME by Govt approved lab / by the technical experts of PME manufacturer as directed by GE :(c) Skid resistance (Dry and Wet condition) in every 5000 sqm area

M&L Removal of Rubber deposits from runway surface using Water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable operating pressure so that the total rubber deposits are removed from runway both (rigid and flexible) surfacesby the method of water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & nodamage to the existing surface. NOTES(i) The work shall be carried out through authorized & qualified applicator(ii) Total rubber deposit should be removed and the Debris / Water to be vacuumed simultaneously leaving No FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately. (iii) The Machine make to be deployed for Runway Rubber Removal should haveE-In-C approval eg SH8000, SH5000, Sk3000. (iv)Rubber deposit Debris should be in solid form when finally disposed.(v)In any emergency condition the machine should exit from the runway in less than 2 mins without leaving FOD.(vi) Friction Test should be carried out before & after Rubber deposit removal operation.(viii)After carrying out rubber removal operation on the runway, the friction reading of the rubber removed segment should be minimum 0.55 µ.(ix) Work well be carried out is phased manner as per availability & runway for maintenance

Complete removal/Omitting the existing markingas in taxi track/dispersal by brushing/scrubbing with wire brush ,paint remover(or) burning off by blow lamps and cleaning with scraps any number of coats, any width(or)girth as required complete all as specified and directed.

Preparation of untreated bituminous (or) concrete surfaces of taxi track, dispersal etc.exceeding 10 cm width and painting lines, curves, dashes, arrows, letters etc.and apply with two coats ofrunway marking paint white or golden yellow complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of bituminous surface by box cutting of thickness as directed by Engr-in-Charge without damaging to adjacent surface all as directed and specified. Note :- If any damage occurred to the adjacent surface will be repaired by the contractor without paying any extra charges.

M&L for applying evenly a tack coat of Bitumen VG-10 grade conforming to IS: 73 at a rate of application of 0.3-0.4 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing and consolidating 50 mm thick premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC-2) withMin stability 14 KN, using min 5.4% VG-40binder by weight of total mix. aggregate gradation as per Bituminous Concrete Grading 2 of Table 500-17 of MoRTH specification for Road/Runway and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient as specified and directed.
