| 1 | Earthwork in excavation in all types of ground substrata consisting of hard rock / fragmented rock / soft rock / ordinary soils / filled up ground / murrum requiring use of rock breaker, drilling, chiseling with mechanical / manual means etc.up to a depth of 1.5 m from the original ground level and dewatering if required for foundation of walls, columns, platforms, Tree pits etc. including backfilling with selected excavated materials in plinth and foundation trenches in layers not exceeding 200 mm thick, watering ramming etc. complete and disposing off the surplus materials to a maximum radially measured lead of 1.0 KM. as per drawings, design , safety and specifications and directions of the Engineer.Note :- Bidders should essentially visit and inspect the construction sites and determine themselves the right and safest method/s of excavation considering the safety of nearby structures and population, before quoting their item rates (Blasting is not permitted). |

| 8 | Providing and laying to required slope and camber M-35 grade design mix cement concrete in roads/pavement using not less than 350 kg. of OPC cement per cum of concrete and water to cement ratio not more than 0.38with cement admixture added to obtain specified slumps up to a maximum of 120mm in alternate panels or as directed by engineer, consolidating with needle vibrator and factory fabricated roller mounted paver cum vibro compactor equipment having a pavement coverage not less than 4 mtr. in width, providing dowel bars with sleevs / tie bars wherever required, finishing the surface with power floater and trowelled to require finish and finally giving required broom finish with suitable means,including extended curing for a period of 15 days and provision of contraction and expansion joints. contraction joint shall be mechanical sawn, 3 to 5mm wide in width and1/3 thickness of the slab in depth and of 15x20mm size at top and expansion joint shall be 25mm in width. Contraction joint shall be provided for every up to 20 sqm of pavement area and expansion joint shall provided at every 30 to 35 mtr length, all complete as per drawing, providing and filling joints with approved joint filler and sealents etc. complete as per specifications and direction of engineer in charge. Item also includes for organizing recovery of cylendrical cores in accordance with relevant IS @ 1 set (3 specimens) per 300 Cum concrete placed at site to be drawn from locations as identified by EIC and also testing the cores specimens in accordence with relevent IS code at NPCIL approved test laboratory for verifing confirmance of hardened concrete to specified requirements. All the expenses incurred on above activities shall be borne by the contractor. (payments for expansion joint fillers, cutting joint & filling sealent, PVC sleevs, dowel bars / tie bars to be paid in relevent item separatly). Note:- 1) Cracks on account of insufficient curing, poor workmenship etc. shall not be allowed. Entire portion of such cracked road panel shall be removed and re-casted by the contractor at his own cost. 2) Minimum cement content will be 350kg per cum of concrete. 3) As per design mix submitted by contractor excess than 350kg cement content per cum of concrete will be included in quoted rate and will not be payable separatly.) |
