| 6 | Notes for Serial Item No. 1 TO 1.4:[a] MANPOWER TO BE EMPLOYED: The contractor shall be required to employ required tradesmen with sound knowledge and adequate experience Round the Clock. All the manpower employed shall report to Office of AGE [E/M]/ Complaint Cell for day to day maintenance and efficient operation of Lifts.[b] The rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of all Major and Minor Spares viz. Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / LED Lights etc. (except Spares catered vide Serial Item No. 2 to 12 of BoQ ) as and when required for trouble free, smooth and efficient functioning of lifts including overhauling as and when required to all mechanical parts of lifts, Rewinding of Electric Motors, repair/maintenance of Gear Unit, repair / maintenance of Door Drive, Controllers, Pulleys, Limit Switches, Relays etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 7 | [c] All the safety measures including ARDs shall be ensured for serviceable condition round the clock and nothing extra shall be paid on these accounts.[d] All the major items required for the repair of the lifts to be measured and paid separately under relevant items.[e]Emergency Light and necessary tools shall be made available in a tool box to the operator for smooth functioning of lifts.[f]Conveyance and communication system like mobile phone(without camera) etc. shall be provided by the contractor to all Lift Mechanics and Helpers.[g]The contractor shall abide by the latest Labour Rules and Minimum Wages Act.[h] Wages paid by the contractor to the persons employed shall not be less than the minimum wages fixed by State / Central Government from time to time whichever is higher. |
| 8 | [j] The contractor is responsible for making subscription towards Insurance, EPF, ESI,Labour Welfare Cess etc., as applicable and shall pay Gratuity, Bonus etc to the Workmen as per existing Labour Rules / Acts / Regulations and rate quoted shall be deemed to be included for the same. [k] DRESS CODE: The contractor shall provide the workmen with Dark Blue Colour Uniform [Formal Pant & T-Shirt] with labels showing / printed i.e. \"Name of the Firm and Designation\" on Front and \"GE [SB] KARWAR\" on theback of the T-Shirt along with protective clothing / gear. The contractor shall also provide shoes to the workers and the persons shall not be allowed to enter the work site without wearing shoes.[l] The contractor shall be responsible for all Accidents / Injuries happening to the workmen. Any accident causing Minor / Fatal Injury, Partial Disability due to any untoward incident or non-adherence to Safety and IE Regulations or fault in maintaining of Lifts System / Safety Mechanism or on account of any mishandling / wrong operation / lack of knowledge of safety precautions or on account of any circumstances beyond his/their control, the contractor shall be solely responsible for settling all claims of compensation to the deceased, failing which department will have a right to recover any sum indicated / claimed by Labour Commissioner / Court authorities. No claim whatsoever will be entertained in this regard. No compensation is payable by the department on this account. Contractor shall provide first aid boxes to meet any emergency situations. |
| 9 | [m] The contractor shall carryout the comprehensive maintenance of the lifts catered under subject work through the Original Equipment Manufacturer of that lift or from their accredited / authorised agencies only. The lowest bidder shall submit MoU from the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Lift or from their accredited / authorised agencies to provide technical support, trained persons for maintenance & testing and spares before commencement of the work to GE. The spares shall be of the make as per existing or as per the OEM.The bidder has to upload (in cover - 1) and submit a MOU from the ESCON (OEM) or their authorized / accredited agency for this effect. A scanned copy of MOU shall be uploaded as packet - 1 (Cover 1) without upload and submission of hard copy of MOU from the OEM / accredited agencyof OEM before opening of tender the respective bid shall be disqualified in Technical Bid evaluation and his finane bid shall not be opened(n)Monthly schedule for proper maintenance of lift and necessary documentation including all spare parts required to be replaced during the period shall be as per particular specification and as per maintenance manual provided by OEM.(o)The parts shall be genuine and from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and approved by GE & all minor spare parts and parts recommended by the OEM required for repair / replacement for maintenance of lifts to be replaced during AMCat no extra payment as per particular specification |
