| 1 | Material and labour for cleaning, grout filling and polishing to external and internal surfaces of glass mosaic tiles, complete as specified and directed, comprising the following operations:(a) Surface Cleaning:Gently cleaning the tile surfaces and joints using soft nylon brushes, water-misting, and mild pH-balanced surfactants, including removal of dust, dirt, grit, lime-wash deposits and other surface accretions by controlled water-jet / fine-misting techniques.(b) Joint Filling:Filling joints over 100% tile area using epoxy grout (Somany Ezy Grout or equivalent); removing excess grout, cleaning the tile surfaces, including replacement of damaged/missing chips irrespective of area, and setting evenly, complete.(c) Polishing:Applying two coats of transparent tile polish after complete drying of epoxy grout to obtain an even finish.Notes:Rate is inclusive of removal of vegetation on wall surfaces, chajjas etc., including erection and dismantling of scaffolding up to 30 m height, and providing all necessary safety equipment.New glass mosaic tiles, if required, shall be measured and paid separately.Work shall be executed in stage-wise sequence, and each stage shall be passed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 2 | Dismantling floor, hearth or wall tiling, including cement-mortar bedding (but excluding backing coat), and removing rubbish off the MD premises, complete all as specified and directed. |

PU (iK) is a hydrophobic polyurethane grout that reacts on contact with water to form a closed-cell rubber-like foam, expanding up to 27 times its volume. The cured material remains constant in volume, unaffected by moisture/dryness, and does not shrink or swell.Depending on injection pressure, it forms either a dense solid or foam, complete all as specified and directed. |
