| 2 | Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous surfaces power or by hand picking to a depth exceeding 50 mm and not exceeding 100mm and area not exceeding 400 Sqm in one stretch including racking over and grading the broken up surface to the proper camber etc, as required all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 3 | M & L for 75mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregate (using granite, trape or basalt) of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to required camber and gradient using 8 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed by Eng-in-Charge. |
| 4 | M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and tempreture controlled hot mixing with electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix/Drum type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work at site by tippers and laying, spreading uniformaly by means of hydrostatic paver finisher and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or lesswith 8 to 12 tonne smooh wheeled, vibratory and tandem power roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification all as specified and as directed.Note : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content.Job Mix Formula as per Clause No 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be obtainedCRRI / IIT, SEMT wing CME Pune or NIT or Govt Engineering College for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the contractor without any financial effect to the Department and same shall be submitted to the Accepting Officer for approval.Any variation in binder content on Minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/Kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on Plus side.(ii) The bituminous macadam (BM) shall be covered with top layer/wearing course withina maximum of 48 hours.If there is to be any delay by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic.The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately.(iii) Job mix formula shall be approved by Accepting Officer. |
| 5 | M & L for preparing water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with mechanical compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bituminous primer VG-10 grade @ 10 Kg per 10 Sqm of paving bitumen complete all as specified and as directed. |
| 6 | M&L for Preparing existing black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with mechanical compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and M&L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bitminous primer VG-10 grade @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm of paving bitumen complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 7 | M&L for laying, spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of Premix Bituminous semi dense asphaltic concrete as perdesign based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing with electronicoperated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix/Drum type hot mixplant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work at site by tippers and laying, spreading uniformly by means of hydrostatic paver finisher and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem power roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and all as specified and as directed.Note for item No 7 :-(i)Paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 for SDAC shall be used and procured by the contractor under his own arrangementand at his own cost. (ii) Cost of all the materials, T&P labour etc. required for providing and laying bituminous concrete (SDAC)including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand, cement etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for the item.(iii) Computerized print out of data of bituminous concrete (SDAC)in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by contractor. |
| 8 | (iv) The contractor shall quotes the rate against item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content.Job Mix Formula as per Clause No 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be worked out fromCPRI / IIT, SEMT wing or NIT or Govt Engineering Collegefor obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Department and the same shall be submitted to the Accepting Officer for approval.Any variation in binder content Minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/Kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on Plus side (v) After spreading of Mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with power road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tandem roller as per Clause Nos 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.(vi) Cost of filler i.e, cement lime etc is deemed to be included in quoted rates.(vii) Job mix formula shall be approved by Accepting Officer. |

| 10 | M&L for reflectortype solar cat eye with 6 LEDs of red/yellow colour on each side (total 06 nos) housed in a tough pressure dia castedaluminium alloy of size 125 x 125x 25 mm with built in system of suitable lengthwith LEDs, solar -cells,battery & light sensor duly covered with tough unbreakable poly corbonate transparent sheet on top, equiped with solar system workable for 2-3 days (night) after ful charge of 8-10 hours, fixed on road surface by cutting holes and groutíng with epoxy and MS stud (as per manufactureres instruction ) ín the pattern andlocation as directed by Engr in-Charge . |
| 11 | Preparation of existing black top road surfaces and M & L for applying hot thermo plastic (retro reflective) road marking paint including primer for marking white traffice lines 2.5 mm thick having clear and sharp edges over road surfaces including straight /curved portion etc in any position .The thermo plastic materials shall be homogeneously compossed of aggregate pigment resins and glass reflector resin beads @250 to 300 gm/Sqm or as per manufacturer\"s instructions after heating the paints within temprature limits specified.Making proper arrangment for traffic during operation etc and with cost of all material and labour, thermo plastic paint applicator machine and necessary T & P etc required for proper completion of work complete all as specified and dircted by Eng-in-Charge |
