| 1 | Providing Water proofing treatment to the Terrace over RCC cast insitu slab roof area including materials, labour, curing, necessary scaffolding at all levels, cleaning and removing material from the site after completion of work as per specifications follows and as directed by the Engineer in charge. |
| 2 | a) Surface Preparation: The concrete surface should be thoroughly abraded to remove all laitance; any trace of loose plaster, oil grease and any other material that might affect adhesion is to be removed by wire brushing the surface. The entire surface shall then be washed thoroughly with plenty of water and allowed to dry. |
| 3 | b) Pressure Grouting: Pressure Grouting to be carried out ensure that all voids present in the concrete are filled up completely by adding dosage of FOSROC Cebex 100- plasticized expensive grout admixture as recommended by manufacture |
| 4 | c) Bore Packing: Annular space filling with non-shrink grout material FOSROC Conbextra GP2 shall be prepared and filled in the space between treated plumbing pipe and concrete up to required floor level. |
| 5 | d) Preparing Wata / Corner Fillet: Apply approved bonding agent (Nitobond AR STD) in between concrete & fillet wata as per manufacturer\"s instruction prepare a 50x50mm concave fillet with polymer modified mortar 1:3 cement mortar containing FOSROC Nitoband SBR Latex-Mortar and screed modifier cum bonding agent at rate of 3 litre as per bag of cement, admixed with approved polypropylene fibres and integral waterproofing compound (Conplast WL Xtra @ 200ml per bag of Cement. |
| 6 | e) Half brick thick wall to be constructed at the peripheral of terrace slab and provision of PVC 100mm pipe for rain water to be made wherever required at the regular interval for draining out of surface water. |
| 7 | f) The area shall be tested for any leakages by ponding water in panels. |
| 8 | g) Surface waterproof coating: When the entire surface is water-tight, dry and moisture free area shall be coated with two coats with two coats of FOSROC Brushbond RFX. Brushbond RFX is a two part acrylic polymer modified cementitious elastomeric waterproof and protective coating. |
| 9 | h) Brickbat Coba: Laying of brickbat coba average 110 mm thick in CM 1:4 admixed with integral waterproofing compound FOSROC Conplast WL Xtra @ 200ml per 50 kg bag of cement with slope towards floor trap. Top finish to be done with cement mortar 1:3 in grid pattern of 600 mm x 600mm |
| 10 | Special Note: i) The treatment should be done by an agency specialised in the job having sufficient knowledge of water proofing treatment. Suggested vendors : (1) M/s. FOSROC Pvt. Ltd., Chemicals (2) M/s. Sika India Pvt. Ltd. Chemicalsii) Ten years guarantee shall be given by the contractor in the prescribed form of the department for the above water proofing treatment work\" |
| 11 | Note-1: General Notes1.For their own interest, contractors are advised to inspect the site with prior permission before quoting their rates.3. All the samples of materials which are to be used shall be approved by the department in advance. 4. The contractor shall comply with the provision of the Payment of Wages act5. Rates quoted shall be inclusive of all cost of materials, labour, carriage, taxes, GST, labourcess, water charges, elctricity charges, signorage charges, wastages etc..6. Rates quoted shall be excluding the amount of EPFO and ESIC contributions. EPFO and ESIC contributions are reimbursableon production of valid proof of payment made by the contractor as per CPWD norms. |
