| 53 | NOTE- : (i)Excavation and earth work for laying of Asbestos cement pipes/NP Pipes/Cutting of manholes, roads , paths, walkways and any other work executed under this contract shall be carried out with utmost care and with all safety gears in place after mapping of the area and obtaining permission from the respective authority. Any damage done while execution to any existing structure, pipe line, electric or communication cable shall be made good by the contractor exactly as per the existing specifications at his own cost. In case of delay caused by the contractor in making good the damage is more than 4 hrs,requisite repair work will be carried out by the deptt through some other agency and the cost of repairs will be recovered from the contractor. Mapping survey shall be done in the presence of Engr-in- Charge and representative of GE (Utility) Chandimandir and submitted to GE for approval before execution of excavation work. BAILING, PUMPING OUT OF WATER,TIMBERING, PLANKING, STRUTTING, SAND CUSHIONING/LEAN CONCRETE FOR STABLIZING OF MUD STRATA if required shall be carried out .The rates quoted by the contractor shall be deemed to be inclusive of all these provisions and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.To avoid any accident at site after excavation of work, contractor shall make arrangement of safety gears, barricades immediately as directed by Engr - in -Charge.
