Tender For Provision Of Consultancy Of Pre Adm Stage Of Provision Of Baffle Range At Grrc Lansdowne.; 1 Consulatncy services for Topographical Survey, Soil investigation ,design /DPR for development and construction of 500 M Baffle range at GRRC Lansdowne are as under:- (i) Carrying out total stn topographical digital survey for the subject work ofsite/land/plot area approx 81341 Sqm (i.e 20.10 Acre) as per TBRL Baffle range manual 2020 i.e site area of baffle range should be at least 140 m wide and 581 m long for 500 mtr baffle range. The following is to be submitted in 03 sets of hard copy alongwith soft copy:- 2 (a) Level sheet of the ground at 3.00m c/c intervals minimum 6000 readings. 3 (b) Topgraphical survey sheet/counter sheet. 4 (c) Demarcation of buildings on level sheet including drawings demarcationof points on site. 5 (d) Cross section of relevant ground where bldgs shall be lay out at 3.00m C/C. 6 (e) Qty of earth work in excavation including calculation details using Prizmoidal formulas. 7 (f) A copy of preliminary site plan, technical data including zoning maps, aerial photographs , Topographic map and duly filled feedback form and check sheet for site evaluation as per chapter III of TBRL Baffle range manual 2020 and sameto be vetted by TBRL Chandigarh 8 (g) Topographical survey to be carried out as per TBRL baffle range Manual 2020. 9 (ii)DETERMINATION OF SAFE BEARING CAPACITY BY SPT METHOD AS DESCRIBED BELOW:- 20 Nos Bore Hole(a) Drilling 150 mm diameter boreholes from 0 to 10 mtr depth accoring to IS 1892-1983 with 01 No of Trial pit (for each bore hole) of size 1.2mx1.2m with a distance of 5.00 m away from BH (Both centrally placed) for construction of Baffle range & connected buildings. 10 (b)Conducting standard penetration test (SPT) as per IS 2131-1988.The testing shall be carried out at every change in strata at the intervals of not more than 0.50 mtr .The test may be made at lesser intervals if specified or considered necessary as perpara 3.3.1 of IS- 2131-1988. (c) Collection of disturbed soil samples at an interval of 0.50mtr or change in strata.(d) Collection of undisturbed soil samples at an interval of 0.50mtr or change in strata. (e)Conducting laboratory tests of disturbed/undisturbed soil samples as per project requirement after completion of boring as given below:-(i)Sieve analysis(ii)Plasticity index(iii)Specific gravity(iv)Water Content(v)Particle size analysis(vi)Bulk and dry density(vii)Atterberg limit(viii)Harmful salt or organic matter if any (ix)Direct shear test (if in case of sandy soil)(x)Unconfined un-drained test(in case of clayey soil) (xi)Consolidation test (for saturated soil) (xii) C Values(xiii) Differential swell test in case of expansive soil (xiv)Unconfined compressive strength of rock (in case of rocky strata)(xv)Determination of tensile/shear strength of rock (in case of rocky strata)(quality index for rocky strata in case of rocky strata).In case rock is encountered, the boring shall continue upto 1.50 to 2.00 mtr in rock.Recommended SBC should be given for all bore holes, minimum at three depths viz 1.5m, 2.0m, 2.50m Soil investigation report shall be submitted covering the following Notes :- 11 Note 1 :- (a)Bore log chart showing depth of soil strata (b)Sub soil water table (c)Porable maximum and different settlement (d)safe bearing capacity based on shear and settlement criteria (e)Recommendation for type and depth of buildings(f)Site plan building wise RL ofbuildings(g)Note 1 :- (a)Bore log chart showing depth of soil strata(b)Sub soil water table(c)Porable maximum and different settlement (d)safe bearing capacity based on shear and settlement criteria (e)Recommendation for type and depth of buildings (f)Site plan building wise RL ofbuildings(g)Bearing capacity and depth of Fdn wrt FFL/Fixed bench mark .(h) SBC should be worked out for the footings of size 1.5mx1.5m, 1.5mx2.5m, 2mx2.5m, 2mx3m.Note 2 :- (a) The location of bldg/bores shall be given by GE/AGE(I)(b)The soil report shall be in 3 parts (i)Field Operations(ii) Lab testing and sub soil properties (iii)Fdn consideration and recommendation for single, double & three storey bldg (isolated footing, combined footing, raft foundation & pile foundation(c)Value of modulus of soil sub grade reactionfor each location. The report shall be submitted in quintuplicate tothis office. 12 Note 3 :-(a) The soil Investigation activity of each bore hole will be recorded photographically.(b) Soft copy (CD) containing folder-wise photographs and videos of soil investigation activity for each bore hole should be included.(c) Each report should include signatures and name of the JE-in-Charge who supervised on ground, concered AGE & GE on the recommendation page. (d)Recommendation for filling under floors. 13 (iii) DETERMINATION OF SAFE BEARING CAPACITY BY SPT METHOD AS DESCRIBED BELOW:- 05 Nos Bore Hole (a) Drilling 150mm diameter boreholes from 0 to 05 mtr depth accoring to IS 1892-1983 with 01 No of Trial pit (for each bore hole) of size 1.2mx1.2m with a distance of 5.00m away from BH (Both centally placed) for construction of security wall for Baffle range (b)Conducting standard penetration test (SPT) as per IS 2131-1988.The testing shall be made at every change in strata at the intervals of not more than 0.50 mtr whichever is less.The test may be made at lesser intervals if specified or considered necessary as perpara 3.3.1 of IS- 2131-1988. The Authority letter issued by TBRL Chanidgarh should be part of mandatory documents to be produced by bidders.
