General -; This section covers the requirements for all materials, labour, tools, scaffolding and equipment complete in all respect for suspended false ceiling as per nomenclature of the item. Installation Precautions: The following to be ensured before installation of the ceiling system: The area is dry prior to ceiling installation work. All wet trades are completed such as plastering, flooring etc. Air conditioning duct work is completed. Electrical chasing or drawing lines etc are in place. No unauthorized weight is put on ceiling. Ceiling shall be done by experienced contractors in compliance with manufacturers specifications and conditions. Installations shall be done in areas free from chemical fumes / freezing temperatures and vibrations. Cutouts for light and A/C fixtures: Tendered cost shall include the cost of making cut outs required for fixing light made for making cut outs. Measurement shall be done of the Veneer surface W/O deducting the Cutouts. The cost of work shall be inclusive of all material, labour accessories and polishing. Solid Baffle - 65x16mm CTC 70mm Providing & Fixing in position phenol bonded Bamboo wood (made in India) bespoke baffle ceiling of the panel with equal spacing grid for perfect alignment. The Baffle Ceiling panel comprising of customized bamboowood solid rafter of thickness 16mm with a height of 65mm and a centre spacing of 70 mm. The Rafter should have minimum length of 1880mm with dimensional accuracy up to ±0.5mm. The Bamboowood Products should have Performance Appraisal Certificate (PAC) for Bamboowood products from Building Material Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC) and GRIHA certified, manufactured by manufacturer having ZED certificate of minimum Silver rating in approved colour/texture/finish. The baffle blades are to be coated all four exposed surfaces. The baffles need to be arranged and fixed in a way to form a panel with a customized MS framing channel having 28mm x 30mm x 28mm x 1 mm section size with laser cut slot, to be fixed at 450~600mm centre to centre as a Secondary member and Intersection cross member tube of 50mm x 25mm x 1.2mm overall size as a Primary member with protective powder coating of 55micron to be fixed at 900~1100mm centre to centre along with accessories hex nut, washer, half threaded wood screw etc that automatically control the centre to centre distance, and to have the flexibility to match the length as per the site requirements. The entire panel is to be suspended to the RCC ceiling using Gl M6 Full threaded rod and Gl M6x40mm bullet fastener at interval of 900-1200mm distance. The Bamboowood material shall either comply with IS: 12777 or EN 3501 Part 1 Class B1, or ASTM E84 Class B (Min.) Fire Classifications. The bamboowood shall have a minimum density of 1000 Kg/Cum and minimum hardness of 1000 kgf, all complete as per the direction of Engineer In- Charge. Note: structural stability of false ceiling in seismic condition is responsibility of contractor and nothing extra shall be payable to contractor on this account. 12 mm cement plaster of mix : 1:6 (1 cement: 6 coarse sand) 15 mm cement plaster on rough side of single or half brick 58 1:6 (1 cement: 6 coarse sand) Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete. Wall painting with premium acrylic emulsion paint of interior grade, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content less than 50 grams/ litre of approved brand and manufacture, including applying additional coats wherever required to achieve even shade and colour. 32.1 One Coat 32.2 Two Coat Applying priming coats with primer of approved brand and manufacture, having low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content. 33.1 With water thinnable cement primer on wall surface having VOC content less than 50 grams/litre Removing dry or oil bound distemper, water proofing cement paint and the like by scrapping, sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete. Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade : 35.1 One or more coats on old work. Polishing one or more coats on wood work in high glossy/matt finish with PU polish in required color/shade/texture with following process: The final PU polish shall be applied with compressor pressure spray gun as per manufacturers specification and direction of Engineer-in-Charge. PU polish Providing and applying exterior grade water base Poly urethane (PU) clear matt finish/ glossy finish/ semi gloss finish polish of approved make and shade for external/ internal wooden & veneered surfaces. Polish work shall be carried out as following: 1) Surface preparation with sand papering with different grade of sand paper up to satisfaction of Engineer-in- Charge. 2) Base coat application with compatible wooden primer 3) Stainer coat application of approved shade (for polish with shade) 4) Minimum Three subsequent coat of PU polish followed by sand papering with fine sand paper. Polish application shall be for all floor all level all height as per manufacturers specification and as per drawing and as directed by Engineer in charge. Sample shall be approved by Engineer-in-Charge. Demolishing cement concrete manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer - in - charge. Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (i/c equivalent design mix) Dismantling tile work in floors and roofs laid in cement mortar including stacking material within 50 metres lead. For thickness of tiles 10 mm to 25 mm Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 metres lead. Dismantling Aluminium/ Gypsum /Glazed partitions, doors, windows, fixed glazing and all types false ceiling including disposal of unserviceable material and stacking of serviceable material with in 50 meters lead as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Providing & fixing in position Phenol bonded Bamboowood flooring and skirting with planks of sizes 14mm thick, minimum 1800mm length and minimum 100 mm wide or approved size, in approved colour, texture and finish, having Performance Appraisal Certificate (PAC) issued by Building Materials & Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC). The flooring shall be fixed with tongue and groove interlocking system, with underlayment of 4mm thick expanded polyethylene foam sheets having density 40kg/cum, over prepared surface with necessary quarter round planks of size 1900mm x 18mm and door reducer of size 1900mm x 44mm, wherever required. The bamboowood planks shall have minimum density of 1000 Kg/cum & minimum Hardness 1000 Kgf. with Eco friendly UV coating, all complete as per direction of the Engineer incharge Providing and fixing in position PVC Frosting Glass film of 100 to 130 micron thickness approved make (of any pattern, shade and type) on glass partitions and doors for internal use. Film shall be pasted on glass without any appearing air bubble. The rates shall be for all shapes and all heights with necessary scaffolding complete as per the architectural drawings and manufacturers specification & 60 instructions as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Film shall be with 05 years warranty. Finished frosted film area on glass shall be measured for payment. Roller Blinds - Manual - Type D Providing & fixing of roller type fabric blinds with manual chain operating system of approved shade, design, colour, approved make and height as specified and as approved by engineer-in-charge. The roller mechanism to be operated with control unit which shall be made of high strength ABS plastic. The mechanism shall be operating with the use of a ball chain. As per requirement, there should be an option of left or right control. The ball chain should be made up of unbreakable polyethylene plastic and as per manufacturers specifications. The blind shall be able to be stopped at any desired position with the help of a stop lock. Chain jointer shall be used to secure the chain. The roller tube extruded by aluminium alloy with grade (6063T) with minimum 1.25 mm thickness. The channel is designed with support beam to keep it straight and shall have a pocket for holding the fabrics in position. Roller tubes should be available in 32, 38 & 45 mm diameters for small and big blind respectively. The mounting brackets should be universal and must be capable of mounting inside / outside / ceiling / wall with the clutch on either the right or left end of the tube. The brackets shall be made of mild steel and are powder coated for a greater finish. The bottom channel of roller blind should be of matching shade with PVC and made of aluminium powder coated with minimum 1.50 mm thickness. The material shall be enclosed in the suitably created pocket along with tube. The channel shall be closed from sides with the end caps to give a neat look. Operational action shall be smooth and upto the satisfaction of the engineer-in-charge. The rates shall be inclusive of stitching, accessories, installation, material cost, labor, wastage, operating system all tools tackles, scaffoldings, hardware, necessary edge binding with approved fabric and thread of colour similar to the colour of the blinds, controller system having chain pulley arrangement with chain of required length and compatible locking arrangement, etc. as per the requirement of engineer-in-charge. Actual elevation area of curtains in closed condition shall be measured and paid. Rate shall be applicable for all heights and for all floors. The contractor shall get the sample approved by the engineer-in-charge before execution. 61 Roman Blinds - Manual - Type C Providing and fixing of roman type fabric blinds with manual chain operating system of approved shade, design, colour, approved make and height as specified and as approved by engineer-in-charge. The roman mechanism to be operated with control unit which shall be made of high strength ABS plastic. The mechanism shall be operating with the use of a ball chain. Fiber rod must be there inside the backing bar to keep the fabric straight and to hold the fabrics in position. It should be come in 4mm and/or 5mm thickness. The mounting brackets should be universal and must be capable of mounting inside / outside / ceiling / wall with the clutch on either the right or left end of the tube. The brackets shall be made of mild steel and powder coated for a greater finish. The bottom channel of roman blind should be of matching shade with fabric and made of aluminium powder coated with minimum 1.50 mm thickness. The material shall be enclosed in the suitably created pocket along with tube. The channel shall be closed from sides with the end caps to give a neat look. Operational action shall be smooth and upto the satisfaction of the engineer-in-charge. The blind shall be coated / treated with the water dust repellent protective coating on the fabric. The rates shall be inclusive of stitching, accessories, installation, material cost, labor, wastage, operating system all tools tackles, scaffoldings, hardware, necessary edge binding with approved fabric and thread of colour similar to the colour of the blinds, controller system having chain pulley arrangement with chain of required length and compatible locking arrangement, etc. as per the requirement of engineer-in-charge. Minimum 2 ties and 2 C clamps shall be provided per 1 m length. Actual elevation area of curtains in closed condition shall be measured and paid. Rate shall be applicable for all heights and for all floors. The contractor shall get the sample approved by the engineer-in-charge before execution. Providing and fixing glazing in door, window, ventilation, fixed glazing and partitions etc. with EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket etc. complete as per drawings and directions of engineer-in-charge. Glass shall be of any shade ,any size, any shape as per Drawing and conform to IS:2835 or IS:2553. Sample shall be approved before execution the work. Installed area shall be measured for payment without considering any wastage. With clear toughened glass panes of 10 mm thickness Filling the gap in between aluminium frame & adjacent RCC/ Brick/ Stone work by providing weather silicon sealant over backer rod of approved quality as per architectural drawings and direction of Engineer-in-charge complete.
