| 31 | Servicing of pedestal fan shall be carried out complete, including thorough cleaning, lubrication, testing, and replacement of unserviceable parts as required. The servicing shall cover inspection and rectification of fan blades (if cracked, bent, or worn out), front and rear guards (grill), and the oscillation mechanism including oscillating knob, gear box set, and lever/pinion gear. The motor assembly shall be checked, cleaned, and repaired, including replacement of motor bearings or bushings, rewinding (if burnt or weak), straightening/replacement of shaft, and replacement of capacitor in case of low speed or failure to start. The electrical system shall be overhauled, including checking and replacement of power cord/plug top, ON/OFF switch or speed control switch, and internal wiring set. The stand and base components such as height adjustment pipe and locking knob, base plate/weight stand, and all nuts, bolts, screws, and washers shall be inspected and replaced if found defective.
