Tender For Repair / Maintenance Of Lift Well, Shaft, Machine Room And Connected Items For Naval Park Area Under Age E/M No-I Of Ge (U-I) Visakhapatnam.; 1 NOTES / INSTRUCTIONS FOR STRICT COMPLIANCE :-(a) The contractor shall obtain sample approval for all materials incorporating in the work as per condition 10 of IAFW-2249 and Special Condition 11 of tender document mentioned here-in-after.(b) The Engineer-in-charge may direct the contractor in writing to procure and deposit up to 50% quantity of the material with in 30 days from the date of commencment as required at site out of quantity to complete the scope of work. Remaining 50% shall be procured as per site requirement during progress of work.The decision shall be final and binding on the contractor.(c) The contractor shall deposit the procured material to the store of concerned subdivision within 30 days from the receipt of written direction. Failing which contractor shall liable to pay a penal recovery of Rs. 5000/- per week, levied on the dues of contractor, subject to maximum up to 10% of the work done/CA Amount whichever is higher.(d)The contractor shall obtain approval of “Qualified Tradesman” as per condition 26 of IAFW-2249 before commencement of work at site and shall have sufficient manpower such as Electrician / FGM / Technicianetc., readily available to meet the site requirement during emergency situation as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge.(e) The quoted rates shall be inclusive of cost of necessary Tools, Plants, Safety Equipments, Machinery etc., as per site requirement. 2 Taking down cement plaster on brickor concrete surfaces / ceiling, racking out joints hacking for key scrubbing downwith water etc complete all as specified and directed. 3 M&L 15 mm thick rendering in CM 1:4 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surface using water proofing compound as per manufacturers instructions finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.Note:- WPC shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of this BOQ. 4 M&L 10 mm thick rendering in CM 1:6 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces, finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed. 5 M&L 5 mm thick rendering in CM 1:3 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces as in ceiling, chajja, soffits etc, and finished even and fair complete all as specified and directed. 6 M&Lbrick work with fly ash bricks, straight or curvedon plan exc. 6 m meanradius built in CM 1:6 including demolition of existing brickwork complete all specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. 7 M&L cement concrete 1:2:4 type B0, (using 12.5 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in lintels upto 1.5 m clear span, cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, benching, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating and including necessary formwork & demolition complete all as specified and directed. 8 M&Lmild steel TMT bars 10 mm dia and over, cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed. 9 M&L preparation of new plastered wall surfaces and including applying Two or more coats of 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489:2004, Alkali & fungal resistance, dirt resistance exterior paint of required shade (Company Depot Tinted) with silicon additives @1.43 litre/10sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @0.90 litre/10 sqm complete all as specified and as directed. 10 M&L complete removal of existing treatment of old decorated wall surfaces and inlcuding applying Two or more coats of 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489:2004, Alkali & fungal resistance, dirt resistance exterior paint of required shade (Company Depot Tinted) with silicon additives @1.43 litre/10sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @0.90 litre/10 sqm complete all as specified and as directed. 11 M&L preparation of new plastered ceiling surfaces and including applying two coats of white wash complete all as specified and directed. 12 M&L preparation of old decorated ceiling surfaces and including applying one coat of white wash complete all as specified and directed. 13 M&L preparation of old decorated wall surfaces and including applying one coat of white wash complete all as specified and directed. 14 M&L preparation of new plastered wall surfaces and including applying two coats of white wash complete all as specified and directed. 15 Taking down shutters of any description exc 1.0 Sqm but not exc 2.0 Sqm, easing, adjusting & and refixing in same opening including refixing builders hardwares and renewal of unserviceable screws complete all as specified and as directed. 16 S&F framed work such as grills, gratings etc. with ends of bars shouldered and/or riveted, or forged into spikes, framed guard bars; barred iron doors, ladders, framed balusters, walk ways, railings, framework of water tanks and similar work conforming to Fe-290 (Gde-E-165) including dismantling existing framed work complete all as specified and directed. 17 M&L preparation of new steel surfaces of any description, not otherwise described over 10 cm width or girth and including applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed. 18 M&L preparation of old painted steel surfaces of any description, over 10 cm in width or girth, not otherwise described and including applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed. 19 Demolition and breaking up drain pipes of 100 / 110 mm dia (Salt glazed ware, AC or Reinforced concrete) set in cement mortar including removal of unserviceable material / debris to distance not exceeding 100m complete all as specified and directed. 20 S&F PVC (SWR) pipes 110 mm bore single socketed in any length with rubber ring joints fixed to wall complete all as specified and as directed. 21 S&F stack clamps for 100 mm bore pipes made out of 50 mm x 5 mm flat iron and 16mm dia round iron stays, and including bolts and nuts and securing ends of stays to wall or roof complete all as specified and directed. 22 S&F 110 mm bore PVC (SWR) junction single, (Single T) equal or unequal with access door complete all as specified and directed. 23 S&F PVC (SWR) 110 mm bore bend with access door, of any radiuscomplete all as specified and directed. 24 M&L coloured glazed ceramic tiles 300 x 450 x 7 mm thickas in dado / skirting and vertical surfaces, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match laid over and including 10 mm thick screed bed in CM 1:3 & dismantling complete all as specified and directed. 25 M&L coloured glazed ceramic tiles 300 x 200 x 7 mm thickas in dado / skirting and vertical surfaces, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match laid over and including 10 mm thick screed bed in CM 1:3 & dismantling complete all as specified and directed. 26 M&L 16-18 mm thick granite (of any type) work (table rubbed and polished) in steps, jambs, pillars, window-cills, cooking platforms and like laid over and including screed bed 10 mm thick in CM 1:3 and pointing in white cement (1:2) using marble dust with admixture of pigment to match with shade of granite and including demolition complete all as specified and directed. 27 M&L for injecting / grouting cement slurry mixed with conbextra EP10 (Epoxy resin injection grout) of M/s Fosroc chemicals or equivalent @225 grams per 50 KG of cement (Min) or as per manufacturers instruction approved chemical in to roof / sunken slabs of toilet by drilling holes at an interval not more than 1m c/c to a depth of 60mm and 20mm diameter and pressure grouting the slurry by mechanical means with required pressure complete all as per technical specifications and as required at site. 28 Supply only integral water proofing compound (ISI Marked) of approved make complete all as specified and as directed. 29 Cutting and removing trees/siblings/plants of any size from surface of the buildings in any situation (upto 3 storeys) including removal of roots from roof/wall surface and including applying root killer chemical as per manufacturers instructions to prevent further growth and making good disturbed portion with PCC 1:2:4 type B-0 (using 12.5mm graded crushed stone aggregate) or cement mortar 1:3 and applying finish as per existing surface finish and removal of debris outside the premises complete all as specified and as directed. 30 M&L for roof treatment in order of precedence as given below complete all as specified, as per manufacturer’s recommendation and as directed by Engr-in-Charge:-(i) Taking out of existing water proofing treatment and cleaning the surface using wire brush, brooming down and washing down with water to remove dust etc.(Contd...) 31 (ii) Brushing with neat cement slurry @ 3.00 kg of cement per Sqm over cleaned roof surface.(iii) PCC 1:3:6 type C0 (using 12.5mm graded aggregate) padding with water proofing compound as per manufacturer’s instruction, of varying thickness (minimum 20mm thick) to maintain required slope. (iv) 5 mm thick screed bed in CM 1:4 with water proofing compound as per manufacturer’s instruction to have a smooth surface for laying of water proofing membrane.(v) After setting and drying of cement mortar, entire surface of roof slab shall be cleaned thoroughly to remove all loose, dust / dirt particles and applying one coat of hot blown grade bitumen 85/25 @1.2 Kg/Sqm.(vi) Supply and laying 3 mm (Minimum) thick APP based polymeric membrane with weight not less than 3.60 Kg/Sqm, reinforced with non-woven polyester fabric weight not less than 150 gms per Sqm over complete roof surface. Polymeric membrane shall be taken to a height of 30 cm (minimum) and then inserted inside the groove of parapet wall and shall be finished by a membrane flashing.(vii) Applying one coat of hot blown bitumen 85/25 @1.2 Kg/Sqm over APP membrane & finally finishing with a coat of bituminous aluminium primer @ 0.100 Kg/Sqm.Note:- (a) Laying APP based polymeric membrane shall be done by torch on method as per manufactures instructions. (b) A minimum overlap of 100 mm should be made at the end & sides of the polymeric membrane respectively and all overlaps and joints shall be sealed by flames or as per manufacturers instruction.
