Tender For Certain Repairs In Roads And Road Furniture Under Age (B/R) Cg Chennai Under Ge (I) (Cg) Chennai.; 1 Material and labour for preparingblack top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and asdirected . 2 Material and labour for applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen of viscocity VG 30 atthe rate of 5 Kg per 10 Sqm over black top surface complete all as specified and as directed. 3 Material and labour for laying and consolidating bituminous premix asphaltic semi-dense concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with minimum 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix by using paving bitumen (VG-30 Grade) any penetration mixed in hot mix plant, spread and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber, gradient and to uniform surface complete all as specified and as directed.Note: [a]Contractor shall use both 8 to 12 ton tandem vibratory roller & Pneumatic tyre roller (PTR) [b]The contractor will be required to get the job mix formula based on marshal method designed fromIndian Institute of Technology, Madras or from any NIT/Government Engineering colleges/any other Govt. /NABL accredited laboratory approved by the GE. The cost on account of job mix design and testing of bitumen and road materials shall be borne by the contractor[c]The binder content mentioned above is minimum/ tentative and shall be provided as per actual job mix design.[d] The unit Rate quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of making good of any undulation/damages in wearing surfaces, where semi sense asphaltic concrete to be laid. 4 M&L for providing premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen grade VG-10 with bitumen content @ 4% by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant, spread and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8-12 tonne power road roller and rolled to a uniform smooth surface (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in Charge 5 M&L for providing and marking broken/continuous central/ end line on the road pavement and the like of description by using hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.50mm thick (excluding thickness of glass beads) and providing reflective glass beads @ 250 gm per square metre as per IRC-135,confirming to MORT&H, complete all as specified and as directed. 6 S & F for Dual directional Speed Breaker having high intensity cube corner refelctor ultra sonic welded to high impact resistant radious plastic body of colour yellow and black of size 250 X 350 X50mm high provided with steel nails of dia 12mm and length 120mm for fixing to row by hammering shape of side body to have interlocking pattern to all speed breakers in a row. Castral No - GPL-07-06. Make -Green / Green Light or Equivalent. 7 S&F Polycarbonate round shaped Convex Mirrors of size 600mm dia, 1.5mm thick, light weight, single piece polycarbonate lense used for greater damage resistance, good finished, ideal for usage Blind Spots, Parking roads, by lanes and crossing roads and Body is made of ABS/Fiber/Plastic red in colour, with adjustable fixing brackets, nuts & bolts including mounting hardware SS Pipe Grade 304 (40mm) and embedding in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, blocks of size 60cm x 60cm x 75cm etc., complete all as specified and as directed.Note:- The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of excavation in post hole of any kind of soil/hard surface and making good the disturbed surfaces.
