Tender For Additional / Alternator Up gradation To Earthling Infrastructure At 15 Brd Under Ge Af Chiloda; 1 M &L for tightening and fixing in position loose hanging copper / alurninium strip of any size on wall or building roof using new insulators of porceline of approved size and fixing existing copper / aluminium strip on the same as existing complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 2 M&L for dismantling the strip from earth pit and testing of earth pit to be done as per fall of potential method mentioned in IS-3043 with digital earth resistance tester to check the healthiness of earthing system in and including replacement earth pit nut bolts with brass nut bolts as per required size and record should be kept on ledger duly signed by user representative, JE concerned and contractor and the same shall be submitted to Engr in charge for counter signature complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Testing of earth pit shall be done as required basis as directed by Engineer-in-Charge 3 M &L for physical inspection for earthing health and to check the healthiness of earthing system whether the resistance under safe limits of resistance IF higher than the permissible then recharging of earthing should be done immediately with carbon based low resistivity compound 0.001 ohm meter recharging of existing earth pit by excavating soil up to electrode depth approx 10 feet by manual drilling (post hole) method and filling with backfill compound maintenance free earthing compound to achieve desired resistance value less than 1/3 ohms in and including water up to top of the excavated bore, backfilling of earth pít, measuring the value after refilling pit and testing of earthing after recharging, reconnecting grounding electrode conductor and earth grid applying petroleum jelly etc. to bolted joints to minimize corrosion for the pipe earthing or plate earthing then gel should be used to lower down the resistance complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.Note: (i) In case of satisfactory results not found or results degraded during one year of recharging of the earthing, the same shall be made good/recharged again in order to have required test results within contract/Defect liability period without any extra cost to the department.(ii) Contractor will mark each earthing with CA No., date of recharging of earthing on MS sheet size 18x12x 1/8 with suitable mounting arrangement on wall or on ground duly painting blue over a coat of Red Oxide primer and letter/figures of words written with white colour. Quoted rate will be deemed to have been included the cost of the same.(iii) Necessary compound required for recharging shall be measured and paid separately under item No 4 here-in- after. 4 Supply and topup Earthing Soil Resistivity improvement compound Gel type, Enhancement compound Transparent Liquid Jel all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. 5 M&L for copper brazing (welding) at site to connect loop copper earthing strip of any size after tightening by nut, bolt, washer, check nuts of brass complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note: Copper brazing shall be done upto 20 mtr height. Necessary tool/plant and ladder required for working upto 20 mtr height shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for above item. 6 M&L for GI brazing (welding) at site to connect loop Gl earthing strip of any size after tighten by nut, bolt, washer, check nuts, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.Note: GI brazing shall be done upto 20 mtr height. Necessary tool/plant and ladder required for working upto 20 mtr height shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for above item. 7 S&F new polyplastic earth pit cover 600 X 600 mm (FRP)heavy duty with sign board triangular shape, making connection of earth strip including minor adjustment, construction of rectangular of size 0.75X0.75X0.50 mtr (LXBXH)brick boundary alongwith necessary plastering work with specified colour coding around poly plastic earth pit cover, incl taking down old earthing pit cover complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 8 Material & labour for earthing complete supply, install, testing and commissioning maintenance free comprising of high tensile low carbon steel rod of 3 mtrs length & 17.2mm dia with 250 micron (average) molecularly bonded copper on the outer surface to confim with the requirement of UL 467 placed in bore min 150mm dia upto 3 mtr deep with and including necessary excavation by any means in any type of soil/strata like soil, rock or any other black soil, rock or any other along with back-fill compound strictly be a carbon based conductive concrete type which was resistively of less than 0.12 ohm mtr as per clause 14.5 D of IEEE 80Standard back-fill compound should be electronically conductive (like in metals) and should not depend on moisture for condition. Compound shall be supplied in sealed bags. The earth electrode should finally be housed in heavy duty concrete/PVC chamber with cover of size 300x300x300mm for future access. Back-fill compound should be environment friendly, should solidity when mixed with water and should not leach/diffuse into ground.(a) Earth resistance of each earth should be less than 3 ohm.(b) Provision for testing resistivity of back-fill compound as per IEC 62561-7 should be arranged for a randomly selected bag batch wise, in the client premises prior to installation.(c) Back-fill compound shall not be mixed with any soil while pouring in the bore hole.(d) The earthing shall be carried out strictly by OEM.(e) Back-fill compound resistivity should not be more than 0.12 ohm meter and minimum 2 bags of approximate 25 Kg each bag should be filled in each earthing bore, however if required extra chemical bach-fill materials should be filled to achive result below 03 ohm without any extra cost. 9 (f) The description/size/Qty of items mentioned in above are for indicative only however the qty/size may very at site condition to maintain the earth resistance less than 03 ohm and as such quoted rates should be considering the all factors.(g) Testing on completion & achieving resistance less than 03 ohm & submitting report to Engineer-in Charge duly signed by users after successful completion of earthing.(h) If resistance value is found more than 03 ohm, any time after execution upto end of defect liability period contractor has to do needful action within 07 days without any extra cost to bring the value less than 03 Ohm, failing which the cost of the earthing (as quoted by the contractor or prevaling in the market whichever is high) will be recovered from the contractor.(j) Earth strip copper of size 25x3 mm beyond the earthing point will be measured and paid separately under respective item of schedule. 10 Supply. install, testing and commissioning maintenance free Tripod earthings comprising of high tensile low carbon steel rod of 3 mtrs length & 17.2mm dia with 250 micron (average) molecularly bonded copper on the outer surface to confirm with the requirement of UL 467 placed in bore min 150mm dia upto 3 mtr deep with and including necessary excavation by any means for tripod earthing in any type of soil strata like soil, rock or any other including back-fill compound strictly be a carbon based conductive type which has resistively of less than 0.12 ohm mtr as per clause 14.5 D of IEEE:80 Standard, 03 Nos earth electrode to be fixed at a distance of 3 Mtr to each (other (in Triangle) and inter connected with and including copper strip of size 25x3mm and back-fill compound should be electronically conductive (like in metals) and should not depend on moisture for condition. Compound shall be supplied in sealed bags. The earth electrode should finally be housed in heavy duty concrete/PVC chamber with cover of size 300x300x300mm for future access. Back-fill compound should be environment friendly, should solodoty when mixed with water and should not leach/diffuse into ground.(a) Earth resistance of each tripod earthing should be less than one ohm.(b) Provision for testing resistivity of back-fill compound as per IEC 62561-7 should be arranged for a randomly selected bag batch wise, in the client premises prior to installation.(c) Back-fill compound shall not be mixed with any soil while pouring in the bore hole.(d) The earthing shall be carried out strictly by OEM.(e) Back-fill compound resistivity should not be more than 0.12 ohm meter and minimum 2 bags of approximate 25 Kg each bag should be filled in each earthing bore, however if required extra chemical back-fill materials should be filled to achieve result below 1 ohm without any extra cost. 11 (f) The description/size/Oty of items mentioned in above are for indicative only how ever the qty/size may vary at site: condition to maintain the earth resistance less than 01 ohm and as such quoted rates should be considering the all factors.(g) Testing on completion & achieving resistance less than 01 ohm & submitting report to Engineer-in Charge duly signed by users after successful completion of earthing.(h) If resistance value is found more than 01 ohm, any time after execution upto end of defect liability period contractor has to do needful action within 07 days without any extra cost to bring the value less than 01 Ohm, failing which the cost of the earthing (as quoted by the contractor or prevailing in the market whichever is high) will berecovered from the contractor.(j) Earth strip beyond Earth point (except interconnected) will be measured and paid separately under respective item of schedule. 12 Supply & fix earth continuity conductor or main earthing 32X6 mm dia galvanised iron strip. (roof conductor or down conductor ) above ground level fixed to wall/ roof duly insulated on batten or fixed on new porcelain insulators with clamping device or recessed or chases or burried in groung/ floor or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop/GI earthing etc as required all as directed by Engg. in charge.Note :-(i) The distance between porcelain insulator will be included with cost of T & P and labour required to work on roof top at lateral faces of existing hangers upto height of 25 mtrs. 13 Ditto all as per No 10 above but 25x4 mm Gl strip 14 Ditto all as per No 10 above but 32x6 mm Copper strip. 15 Ditto all as per No 10 above but 25 x3 mm copper strip. 16 Supply and fix in repair GI funnel of any type to be fix in existing earth pit. Cleaning of earth chamber is to be taken care complete all as directed by Engr-in-charge. 17 Supply and fix in repair 25 mm size epoxy type insulator suitable for fixing earthing strip including screw etc all as directed by Engr-in-charge 18 S&F in repair PCC block Hollow (15cmx15cmx20cm) for fixing of GI/Aluminium/Copper strip with suitable size of insulators on roof top complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 19 S&F in repair Air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12 mm dia and 300mm long lightning arrester, screwed for easy fitment and fixing with base plate with 10 mm holes on four corners for necessary fixing arrangement on top side of PCC block (15cmx15cmx20cm) complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 20 M&L for marking of earthing pit (GI eath / Copper earth/ Chemical earth) with two or more coat synthetic enamel paint, colour & pattern as approved by the Engr-in-Charge, Letter size shall not be less than 50 mm complete all as specified & directed 21 Supply and fix in repair Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size of 75 mm x 75 mm x 25 mm drilled and screwed with 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long screw, fixed in and including SMC junction box of size 170 x 170 x105mm hinged door fixed on wall complete all as specified and as directed. 22 M&L for PCC earthing pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of internal size 300 rmm x 300 mm x 300 mm with 120 mm thick wall and 700 mm x 700 mm x 150 mm thick bed concrete and 50 mm thick precast chamber Cover of RCC 1:2:4, type B1 for, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jaali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg/ sqm), complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part- including demolition of old pit complete. 23 Supply & Fix 25 x 3 mm aluminium strip (Roof conductor or down conductor) above ground level fixed to wall roof duly insulated fixed on and including new porcelain insulators with clamping device or recessed or chases or burried in ground/ floor or drawn in conduit / pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation or for looptearthing etc. Note- (i) The consecutive distance between porcelain insulator will not be more than 40 cm. (ii)The quoted rates shall be deemed to be included with cost of T&P and labour required to work on roof top and at lateral faces of existing hangers upto height of 25 Mtrs. 24 Supply and fixing in repair Unplasticised PVC pipe of pressure rating 10 kg/cm2 of size 15 mm bore (Internal dia) ISI; marked laid in trenches / on floor, ceiling etc including with all fitting such as elbow, union reducer tees bends etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in –charge 25 Supply and fixing in repair Unplasticised PVC pipe of pressure rating 10 kg/cm2 of size 20 mm bore (Internal dia) ISI; marked laid in trenches / on floor, ceiling etc including with all fitting such as elbow, union reducer, tees, bends, etc 26 Supply and fix in repair 15 mm size UPVC half turn cock valve for UPVC pipe and fixed ISI marked complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in –charge 27 Supply and fix in repair 20 mm size UPVC half turn cock valve for UPVC pipe and fixed ISI marked complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in –charge 28 Supply and fix in repair 15 mm size PVC perforated caps screw to end of puff or vent pipe fixed on UPVC pipe and its should ISI marked complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in –charge 29 M & L for excavation in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth, for foundation, / laying of pipe / cable etc. or for shafts, welis, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and directed. 30 Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick using excavated soil all as directed 31 Removing excavated soil to distance n.exc 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point all as directed. 32 Material and labour for boring of holes under road, pavement, hard standing by trenchless technology using ultra sound technique/manually and necessary machine complete all as specified and as directed. 33 Supplying and fixing of early steamer emission (ESE) lightening arrester fitted above the structure to beprotected. The air terminal should be working on the principle of early steamer emission using no-radioactive technology, needing no external power source.
