Tender For Special Repair To Road At Mil Stn Nahan Under Ge Chandigarh; 1.00 Preparation of black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specifed and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 2.00 M&L for Applying evenly a tack coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.2-0.3 kg/sqm on bitumenous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surface complete all as specifed and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 3.00 M&L for Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bitumenous macadam surfaces in area not exc 400 sqm and exceeding 50mm and not exc 100 mm deep complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 4.00 M&L for Applying evenly a prime coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion SS1 confirming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.7 - 1 kg/sqm on surface of WMM/ WBM as specified in Table 500-3 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer complete all as specifed and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 5.00 M&L for Bituminous concrete (BC) 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) layer confirming to clause 507 of MORT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, with 5.4 % binder (VG-30) contents by weight of total mix, crushed aggregate of grading 2, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved job mix formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen of specific temperature thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives as per mix design in hot mix plant (batch type) of 100-120 TPH capacity, carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved and suitable arrangements, laying the hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher ......Contd.. 5.01 Contd..including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, including level and camber through rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Notes : (i) Job Mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/CTL/Govt Engg Collage and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 5.4 % by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). 5.02 (ii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.(iii) Cost of Filler i.e. rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate.(iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 55.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.(v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRT&H specification entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause no. 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 6.00 M&L for Providing, laying & Compaction of bituminous, macadam (BM) compacted thickness not exceeding 75 mm thick, conforming to clause 504 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridges works (Fifth Revision) using mechanically crushed stone aggregates and granual material etc of grading II as per Table 500-7 of MoRT&H specification for Road and Bridges work (Fifth revision) Premixed with bituminous binder bitumen grade VG-30 @3.4% (percent by weight of total mix) prepared in batch type Hot Mix Plant, transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. 6.01 Notes : (i) Mix Design for Bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. 7.00 Material and Labour for Repair to pot holes of any depth, not exceeding 1.00 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scouring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc., cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth and making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 8.00 M&L for 2.5 mm thick, white/ yellow hot thermoplastic road marking paint, conforming to BS standards 3262 (latest version) with 20% of glass beads (intermixed) spread and laid by automatic mechnical engine driven machine, painting as in strips (continuous or breaking) of width not exceeding 10 cm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 9.00 Supply and fix in repair solar cat eye/solar stud, aluminum alloy shell (100% water proofing design of size 125 mm x 125 mm x 25 mm (shank 65 mm) of high efficiency Mono crystaline solar panel 2.4V/ 0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd as per manufacturers instructions etc., complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 10.00 Supply and fixing in repair cat eye, solar reflective type, of metal body alloy of size 100 mm x 100 mm x 20 mm with PMMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 11.00 Supply and fixing in repair solar road Delineator having LEDs of colours red/green, solar cell, battery and light sensor housed in a Plastic Body, well protected with powder coated anti theft wire mesh cage, LEDs shall be multifunction (flash-stable-close), system workable for 2-3 days (night) after full charge in 8-10 hours, system mounted over 50/ 60 mm dia powder coated steel tube of length 1000 mm having sheet foot for firm grip to ground, including embedding in PCC Block (size 150 x 150 x 300 mm) 1:2:4 type B-1 including necessary excavation work in post holes complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 12.00 Supply and fixing in repair metal tubular delineator made out of ABS round body, fitted with 2 Nos 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/ 50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of block size 150 x 150 x 300 mm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 13.00 Supply and fixing in repair dual direction speed breakers, designed to withstand a load of up to 30 tons, fitted with high intensity cube corner reflector firmly bonded to high impact resistant plastic body of colour yellow and black with approximate size of 350 x 250 x 53 mm (height) provided with 4 steel nails, shape of side body to have interlocking pattern to keep all speed breakers in a row complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 14.00 S&F in repair convex mirror minimum 100 cm in dia, outdoor type, body material- Polycarbonate, acrylic and mirror thickness not less than 3 mm for traffic security purpose mounted on 2 metre long SS pipe 304 Gde fixed with nut bolt and adjustable brackets/ clamps system including necessary excavation and embeded in cement concrete 1:2:4, type B-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregates) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 15.00 S&F in repairs retro reflective Cautionary, mandatory sign boards in equilateral triangular shape having each side of 600 mm as per IRC 67, made of high intensity reflective grade sheeting fixed over 1.5 mm thick aluminium sheet, framed with 25 mm stainless steel square tube or 32 mm bore circular tube (of SS 304 Gde) and supported on stainless steel 40 mm bore pipe (of SS 304 Gde) of 3.0 meter length including embedding the pipe in PCC 1:2:4, type B-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregates) of foundation size of 450 mm x 450 mm x 600 mm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 16.00 S&F in repairs retro reflective informatory sign board in rectangular shape of size 60 cm x 90 cm, as per IRC 67, made of high intensity reflective grade sheeting fixed over 1.5 mm thick aluminium sheet, framed with 25 mm stainless steel square tube or 32 mm bore circular tube (of SS 304 Gde) and supported on stainless steel 40 mm bore pipe (of SS 304 Gde) of 3.0 meter length including embedding the pipe in PCC 1:2:4, type B-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregates) of foundation size of 450 mm x 450 mm x 600 mm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 17.00 Demolition of cement concrete in ground floors and pavings not exceeding 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 18.00 M&L 75 mm thick PCC 1:3:6, type C-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregates) as in sub base, path, floor, hard standing, finished even and rough without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 19.00 M&L for Providing and laying 80 mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-30 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footpath, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 50 mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with fine sand and cutting of paver block as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand; complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 20.00 M&L for providing, cement concrete 1:2:4, type B-1, (using 20 mm graded stone aggregates) rounded or chamfered on edges or packing sides of interlocking tiles etc. including necessary form work complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 21.00 M&L for Hardcore of guage not exceeding 63 mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick, watered and rolled/ rammed with approved mechanical means to a true surface complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 22.00 M&L for Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note : Rates are inclusive of necessary excavation in any type of soil for laying of kerb stones as in road edging etc.
