Tender For Special Repair To Internal Roads At Dhablan Patiala Under Ge North Patiala; 1 Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sqm exc 50 but n. exc. 100 mm deep complete all as specified and as directed. 2 Material and labour for preparing existing black top surfaceby brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc from black top surface, Applying evenly a premix /tack coat of pavingh bitumen grade VG-30 @ 10 Kg per ten Sqm complete all as specified and as directed. 3 Material and labour for laying and compacting 150mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) in two layers grading as per table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications of road and bridge works 2013 manufatured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean , crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 kn static weight and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed. 4 Material and labour for preparing Unsurfaced water mix macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming / tack coat of paving bitumen VG 30 Grade @ 10Kg per 10 Sqm mannualy or with mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and as directed. 5 Material and labour for providing, laying and compaction of Bituminous Macadam (BM)50mm thickness (compacted thickness)conforming to clause 504 ofMORTH Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), using mechanically crushed stone aggregates and granual material etc. of grading II as per Table 500-7 of MORTH specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), premixed with bituminous binder, Bitumen grade VG-30 @ 4.0% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch type Hot Mix Plant of 100 - 120 TPH capacity transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desiredcompaction and density complete all as specified and as directed.NOTES : 1. The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CI. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech Patiala/NIT Kurukhshetra /PEC Chandigarh/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval bfore commencement of work. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side.2.The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If their is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. 6 Material and labour for preparing black topped surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat of paving bitumen VG 30 Grade @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm mannualy or with mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and as directed. 7 Material and labour for providing and laying 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) Bituminous Premix Concrete (BC) layer conforming to clause 507 of MORTH specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, 5.5% binder (paving bitumen grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved Job Mix Formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of themineralaggregate, filler and bitumen to the specific temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder ofspecifiedbitumen content, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives as per mix design in Hot Mix Plant (Batch Type) of 100 - 120 TPH capacity, carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks, or any other approved and suitable arrangements, laying the hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber thorough rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer in Charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete all as specified and as directed. 8 NOTES : (i). The contractor shall quotes the rate againstItemconsidering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CIause. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech. Patiala/ NIT Kurukshetra/ PEC Changigarh/ CTL for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to Garrison Engineer for approval before commencement of work. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ Rs 50/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side.(ii). Cost of filler i.e. cement (Ordinary portland cement/OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.(iii).After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.(iv). The vintage of the T&P (Hot mix plant/road roller i.e. vibrating roller,static roller,hydraulic roller/paver) to be incorporated in the wk should not be more than 10 years except the tippers and shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.(v). The certificate wrt the capactiy of the hot mix plant (HMP) shall be 100-120 TPH and the plant shall be electronic operated, batch type and location be intimlated and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.(vi). The distance of the HMP shall not be more than 100 KM from the Mil Stn Patiala. Detail of plant to be submitted to GE for approval before date of commencement of the work.(vii). The calibration certificate for HMP shall be submittaed by the contractor for approval of GE before date of commencement of the work which should not be more than 06 months old.(viii). The minimum 2 Road roller each (vibrating and static road roller) are required at site before commencement of the work on the groung and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work. 9 Material & Labour for 2.5 mm thick road marking thermo plastic reflective paint to be carried out mechanically with hot application of material (painting material @ 5 Kg/Sqm) and glass beads @ 250 gm / Sqm confirming to CI No. 803.4 of MoRTH in strips of 100 / 150mm widthon road surfaces complete all as specified and as directed..
