The work shall be carried out on 8.5 to 9.0 meter long poles including all cross arms, clamps, and accessories as directed and marking of pole number with white paint over a black colour background for clear visibility. All arrangements for ladders, scaffolding, tools, and plant shall be made by the contractor, who shall also ensure full compliance with safety precautions during the execution of work. The work shall be completed in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 12 | Material and Labour for painting of coping area of steel tubular pole, including thorough cleaning of the surface to remove dust, dirt, oil, and any loose particles, and applying one coat of primer followed by one coat of synthetic enamel paint of white colour to provide a smooth, uniform, and durable finish. The painting shall be carried out on the entire exposed surface of the coping, complete all as specified and directed. |
| 13 | Material and Labour for providing and fixing fluorescent retro-reflective tape of high-grade quality, not less than 50 mm in width, in yellow and red colours, on steel tubular poles after thorough cleaning of the existing surface to remove dust, rust, and foreign matter. The tape shall be applied in two continuous runs (one yellow and one red), which together shall be measured and counted as one run. The tape shall be fixed from the coping height of the pole upward, ensuring firm adhesion and alignment for clear visibility. |
| 14 | Material and Labour for taking down steel tubular pole of 8.5 to 9.0 metre length from its existing position, including dismantling of concrete foundation, removal of stay wire (if any), excavation and earthwork as required, and carefully setting aside the serviceable pole in a safe place for reuse. The work also includes removing all debris, tools and plant from site after completion of work. The entire operation shall be carried out in a safe manner, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 15 | Material and Labour for transporting, fixing, and erecting old steel tubular pole obtained from Item No. 14 at a new location as directed, including all handling and shifting operations, and setting the pole in vertical position using appropriate tools and tackles, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note:(i) Earthwork and PCC foundation work shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of this schedule.(ii) The cost for refixing of old MS works such as cross arms, brackets, clamps, and light fittings from the old pole to the new location shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate for this item. |
| 16 | Material and Labour for stay assembly for LT poles complete, comprising galvanised steel stranded stay wire of size 7/3.15 mm, galvanised steel stay bow of size 400 x 14 mm, galvanised stay rod 2150 mm long and 20 mm dia with nuts, bolts, and washers, MS stay plate of size 230 x 230 x 6 mm thick, and two numbers of thimbles, including dismantling and removal of the old stay assembly from site. The entire work shall be carried out as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge to ensure proper anchoring and stability of the pole. Note: PCC and earthwork required for installation shall be measured and paid for separately under relevant items of this schedule. |

| 19 | Material and Labour for fabrication and fixing of street light bracket made out of GI pipe, light grade, 40 mm dia and 1.2 metre in length, bent to required shape and further reduced or extended to the desired length up to 1.5 metre by cutting, welding, and well finishing the edges, including provision of two numbers of MS clamps made from flat iron of size 40 x 6 mm of suitable length, complete with drilling of holes and fixing with necessary nuts, bolts, and washers. The entire bracket and clamps shall be painted with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide primer. | 20 | Material and Labour for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode of size 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick, buried directly in ground not less than 2.25 metres deep from ground level, with the top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, and connected to galvanised iron strip 25×4mm as earthing lead using galvanised nuts, bolts, check nuts, and washers as required. The work includes provision of earth lead protection using 40 mm dia GI pipe (medium grade) up to a length of 7.5 metres, connected to the earth bar, and a watering arrangement using 20 mm dia GI pipe (medium grade) with funnel and wire mesh. The earthing pit shall be filled with alternate layers of charcoal and salt as directed and surrounded by vegetated black cotton soil to optimize earthing performance, including removal of surplus excavated soil from site, the cost of which shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate and necessary excavation of earthwork, complete as per Electrical Plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I (2009). The earthing shall be connected to a test point with a terminal box and tested on completion to ensure proper functioning, including removal of existing earthing all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
