Tender For Special Repair To Roads From Gate No 01 To Gate No 04 At Nabha Under Ge South Patiala; 1 Material and labour preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc,sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat of paving bitumen grade VG 10 @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm mannualy or with mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and as directed. 2 Material and labourfor providing and laying 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) Bituminous Concrete (BC) using paving bitumen grade VG-30 with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, Mixing crushed stone aggregates of grading 2 with paving bitumen grade VG-30 with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix in Hot Mix Plant (Batch Type) of 100 - 120 TPH capacity, carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper etc to site, laying the hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher compacted and rolled torequired gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollerall as per clause 507 of MORTH specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) complete all as specified and as directed. 3 Notes :- (i)The contractor shall quote the rate against items considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content.Job mix formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MORTH Specifications for Road and Bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT / CTL / Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department.Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 5.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MORTH specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job Mix Formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii)Cost of filler i.e rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemedto be included in unit rate. (iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs.50.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. (v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MORTH Specifications entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8 - 10 tonnes (Smooth Wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8 - 10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smooth sheeled tandem roller as per clause No 507.4.8 of MORTH Specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 4 (vi). The vintage of the T&P (Hot mix plant/ road roller i.a. vibrating roller, static roller, hydraulic roller/ paver) to be incorporated in the wkshould not be more than 10 years except the tippers and shall be approved by GE before dale of commencement of the work.(vii).The certificate wrt the capacily of the hot mix plant (HMP) shall be 100-120 TPH and the plant shall be electronic operated, batch type and location be intimated and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.(viii).The distance of the HMP shall not be more than 100 KM from the Mil Stn Nabha. Detail of plant to be submitted to ĢE for approval before date of commencement of the work (ix).The calibration certificate for HMP shall be submitted by the contractor for approval of GE before date of commencement of the work which should not be more than 6 months old. (x).The minimum 2 Road roller each (vibrating and static road roller) are required at sile before commencement of the work on the ground and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work. 5 Material and labour for providing and laying premix Bituminous Macadam (BM) of consolidated thickness 25 mm to 50 mm,using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 with binder contents @ 4.0% (Four percentage) by weight of total mix ,premix the agregates with bituminous binder, Bitumen grade VG-30 @ 4.0% (Four percentage) by weight of total mixin in electronic operated 100-120 THP Batch Type Hot Mix Plant,transporting hot mix material from HMP to site by tippers etc, laid over the previously prepared surface with hydrostatic paver finisher ( paver is not compolusory in patch works) rolled and compacted to the required gradient and camber with 8-12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollersall as per clause 504 ofMORTH Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), to achieve the desiredcompaction and density complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (i)The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content.Job Mix Design formula for bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT / CTL / Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department.Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 4.0% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MORTH specifications (Fifth Revision).(ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 50.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. 6 Material and labour for 2.5 mm thick road marking thermo plastic reflective paint to be carried out mechanically with hot application of material (painting material @ 5 Kg/Sqm) and glass beads @ 250 gm / Sqm confirming to CI No. 803.4 of MoRTH in strips of 100 / 150mm widthon road surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. 7 Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions.all as specified and directed. 8 Supply and fixing Solar cat eye aluminium alloy shall (100% water proofing design according to 65 ) of size 125 mm x 25 mm (shank 65 mm) of high efficency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4 V/0.3 watt one Ni-ed rechargable battery (1.2 V/1600 MA) consistiting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd as per manufacturers innstructions complete all as specified and as directed. 9 Demolition of cement concrete (un-reinforced) of any description, in ground floor not exceeding 150mm thick above or below ground level compete all as specified and as directed.. 10 Material and labour for 75 mm thick cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2 (40mm graded stone aggregate) as in sub base of flooring complete all as specified and as directed. 11 Material and labour for providing and laying 80mm thick factorymade chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-40 grade with approved colour,design & pattern as in footparth, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of fine sand , compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paverblocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required sizeand pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand all as specified and as directed 12 Material and labour for laying sand over sub-base including watering and consolidation compete all as specified and as directed. 13 Material and labour for providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed in cement mortar 1:3 including making joints with or without grooves(thickness ofjoint except at sharp curves shall not be more than 5mm) including making drainage opening where ever required complete all as specified and as directed.
