Conservation And Repair To Shri Kedarling (Jyotiba) Temple, Mouze. Wadi-Ratnagiri, Tal. Panhala, Dist. Kolhapur- 1 Removal of plants/ficus grown by pulling out roots system embedded in masnory,cutting stem and application of high /gur/ lime formulation as specified by the Architect or other patented chemical biocide treatment such as biocideGlycel(iso proplamine salt of glyphosate) or other chemical as specified by the Engineer in charge etc. complete. 2 Removing cement tiles, or marble or polished shahabad floor or dado without bed concrete including stacking the materials as directed with all leads, lifts etc. complete 3 Removing iron pipe raling having wooden R.C.C. or C.C. or iron post and stacking the materials as directed etc. complete 4 Removing G.I. or A.C. sheet roofing including purlines, principal rafters etc. including sorting serviceable and unserviceable materials, stacking the same as and where directed in the compound including scaffolding etc. complete. 5 Removing brick bat coba including stacking the spoils as directed with all leads, liftsetc, complete. 6 Removing the existing cement plaster of any thickness without causing dust nuisance and stacking the debris upto a distance of 50 metres or spreading in the compound and cleaning the site etc. complete 7 Removing doors and windows with frames and stacking the materials as directed with all leads, lifts etc. complete. 8 Dismantling stone masonry in lime or cement mortar including stacking the materials as directed with all leads, lifts etc. 9 Dismantling brick masonry in lime or cement mortar and stacking the materils as directed with all leads, lifts etc. 10 Gently cleaning the surface of stone masonry and piers with specialized water misting techniques employing air water jet using a fine nozzle sprinkling system calibrated to spray fine mist along the stone surface without over wetting followed up by gentle brushing with soft nylon brushes and removing dirt, dust, bird dropping, grease, oil, algae, fungus, monkey beats, vegetable growth etc.as specified. Gentle surface cleaning may include using water misting and mild pH balanced surfactants as specified for indicated areas to remove the surfce dirt, grit accretions by means of water misting and cleaning etc. complete as directed by the Engineer in Charge.(The rate is inclusive of all materials & labours involved except scaffolding). 11 Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and/or pointing and/or applying chemical and removing it there after. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. Note:-(1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. (2)The payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works. 12 ProvidingSoil Bag Support to the monument with contractor´ssoil in proper layers carefully as directed by Engineer in-charge including filling, tying and conveying the bags,removing the soil bags after work up to a distance of 50 meter beyond the monument area and cleaning the siteetc. 13 Excavation for foundation in earth, soil of all types, sand, gravel and soft murum, including removing the excavated material up to a distance of 50 m. beyond the building area and stacking and spreading as directed, dewatering, preparing the bed for the foundation and necessary back filling, ramming, watering including shoring and strutting etc. complete. (Lift upto 0.00 to 1.50 m.) By Manual Means 14 Excavation for foundation in hard murum including removing the excavated material upto a distance of 50 metres beyond the building area and stacking and spreading as directed, dewatering, preparing the bed for the foundation and necessary back filling, ramming, watering including shoring and strutting etc. complete. (Lift from 1.5to 3.0m) By Manual Means 15 Conveying the excavated material, debris of brick or stone masonry, RCC, slab, waterproofing, stone members/ materials, cement/ lime concrete, tiles/marbles/ stone slab/ brick bat coba, etc, upto 5 km, away from the site and cleaning the site properly. 16 Dewatering on BHP basis by using water pump including diversion of stream, providing cofferdams, earthern bunds etc. as may be necessary for foundation and other parts of the the works and pumping out water during and after excavation as may be required by using 3.0 BHP pump etc. complete. (prior approval of Superintending Engineer will be necessary) 17 Desilting the Supply Well, Intake Well / Head Works, Sump of water supply / sewerage works etc. in wet or dry condition including lifts upto 9 M and lead upto 150 as required beyond the work site, stacking, spreading, including necessary guarding, etc. complete, as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 18 Applying breathable, non-reactive, antifungal, and water repellent Silane/Siloxane chemical as approved by Archaeological Survey of India / Engineer-in-charge, of approved brand and manufacture, diluted with solvent mineral Turpentine oil in the ratio of 1:12 (One part of approved chemical: 12 Parts of Turpentine oil), on the existing Basalt stone masonry surface with two or more coats to give uniform application of chemical on the surface, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. (The rate is inclusive of all materials & labours involved except scaffolding.) 19 Applying two or more coats of Ethyl Silicate chemical as approved by Archaeological Survey of India / Engineer-in-Charge, of approved brand and manufacturer, with brush or spray on the existing stone masonry surface till there is no further absorption of chemical by the stone surface, including protecting the applied surface from direct sunlight by suitable means during application, all complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. (The rate is inclusive of all materials & labours involved except scaffolding.) 20 Providing anti-termite treatment to the sides of flooring in existing buildings as per I.S. 6313 (Part-II). This involves drilling 6mm holes at 30cm center to center, injecting 1% chlorodane emulsion concentrate at 50ml per hole, and sealing, with a 2-year guarantee. 21 Providing preconstructional antitermite treatment as per I.S. 6313 (Part-II) by treating the bottom surface and sides of excavation at the rate of 5 litres of emulsion concentrate of 1.0 percent of chlorpyrifos per square meter of surface area covering 10 years guarantee on bond paper. 22 Providing general pest control services to the building tocontrol the nuisance of cockroaches, lizards, pin borads and other insects with 4 operations in a year and monthly checkup. 23 Providing and filling in the foundation with excavated material of approved quality including watering, compacting etc. complete. (To be executed with prior approval of Superintending Engineer) 24 Numbering the monument elements in proper order before lowering down with approved colour and shade as directed by Engineer in-charge, including ladder, scaffolding etc. complete. 25 Loweringdowncarefullyexistingstonemasonryofthemonumentmanuallyinproperorder including shifting the stone elements up to a distance of 50 meter beyond the monument area and stackingthemasdirectedby Engineerin-charge,removingbuilding rubbishandcleaning thesite etc. complete. 26 Steel-rod stitching incracked stone patties, beam, and lintels. Providing and fixing stainless steel rods of 90cms length of which 15cm on either side and cold bending at 90degrees. The stainless steel clamps to be fixed perpendicular to the crack by drilling in stone and fixing with cement and aradite mixture in such a way that the entire length of the rod is in complete contact of the stone and the bent ends are fully inserted in the cracked stone. Use 316 grade stainless steel charge per hole.steel rod charges are counted per kg.Holes with 6mm, 8mm, 10mm or 12mm dia.as per requirement of position. 27 Dutchmen repairs of stone sections that severely distresses, reinstallation of new Black basalt stone piece to match existing stone as a facia of minimum 75mm depth of similar colour and texture and size. The size of the atone piece would be approx of 150 x 300 mm. The fixing of the new stone would employ mortar grout and anchoring technique after neatly cutting out damaged stone profile using one of the following techniques: a) stainless stell pins of 6mm dia threaded at end b) Helifix treatment. 28 Providing dry rubble stone soling in 15cm to 20cms. Layer includinghand packing and compacting complete 29 Providing and laying cast in situ 1:2:4 Lime Concrete of trap/ granite/ quartzite/ gneiss metal for foundation and bedding as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including bailing out water, centring, formwork, laying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing if required with fine aggregate, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller and then mixing with coursed aggregate in drum mixer as per specifications including bailing out water, watering etc. complete. 30 Providing and fixing Stone Paving, Second Sort in lime mortar 1:1½, with size of stone 0.60 cm. x 0.45 cm. x 0.20 cm., as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all stone slabs to of approved quality, hard, even, sound, durable and uniform thickness, the stones to be not finely chisel-dressed on the surface and the course to be of prescribed width, true for top 25 mm. (1″), the jointsrunning true,the stonestobelaidwithjointsnotexceeding8mm.(5/16″)thickandto be evenly and firmly bedded flush in mortar on the concrete and no hollow left, side to be dressed true andaspershapeatleasthalfthedepthfromtheface,preparingthelimemortarinlimemiller, watering and all pavingwork when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 31 Providing and fixing Stone Paving, Third Sort in lime mortar 1:1½, with size of stone 0.60 cm. x 0.45 cm. x 0.20 cm., as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all stone slabs to of approved quality, hard, even, sound, durable and uniform thickness, the stones to be rough point chisel dressed on the surface and the course to be of prescribed width, true for top 12.5 mm. (½″), the joints running true, the stones to be laid with joints not exceeding 10 mm. (⅜″) thick and to be evenly and firmly bedded flush in mortar on the concrete and no hollow left, side to be dressed true andaspershapeatleasthalfthedepthfromtheface,preparingthelimemortarinlimemiller, watering and all pavingwork when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 32 Providing Un-coursed Rubble Masonry of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1½, in superstructureas per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones to be set in the work as received from the quarry, after merely knocking off weak corners and edges with the masons hammer, the stones shall be carefully laid so as to break joints, no joint shall exceed 12.5 mm. (½″) in thickness, every stone shall be set flush in mortar, the face stone shall be for greater size, and good beds, one through stone shall be inserted at least every 0.80 sq. mete (1 square yard), the joints shall be racked out carefully at least 25 mm. (1″)where pointing or plastering tobe done, striking joints where no pointing or plastering is to be done, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, scaffolding, watering and all masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 33 Providing Coursed Rubble Masonry Second Sort of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1½, size of stone (45 cm. x 30 cm. x 20 cm.)As Per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones shall be laid in horizontal course not less than 15 cm. (6″) in height, the stones in each course shall be of equal height and all course of the same height, unless otherwise specified, the face stone to be squared on all joints and beds, the beds to be hammered or chisel-dressed , true and square at least 7.5 cm (3″) back from the face, the face of the stones to be hammered and bushing not to be project more than 3.8 cm.
