Conservation & Restoration of Verul Barav, At.Verul, Tq.Khultabad, Dist.Chhatrapati Sambhajiagar- 1 Clearing grass and removal of rubbish up to a distance of 50 metres outside the periphery of the area .[ Rate as per R.A. 01] 2 Cutting down trees including trunks and branches with girths above 30cmto60cm and stacking the materials neatly with all ifts and lead of 1000m as directed and earth filling in the depression / pit if any. [ Rate as per R.A. 02] 3 Removal of plants / ficus grown by pulling out root system embedded in masnory, cutting stem and application of high/gur/lime formulation as specified by theArchitect or other patented chemical biocide treatment such as biocide Glycel (iso proplamine salt of glyphosate) or other chemical as specified by the Engineer incharge etc. complete. [ Rate as per R.A. 03] 4 Removing pointing and other epoxy-based hard material from joints and surface area of baslt stone masonry manually with chisel and hammer or with the help of electric grinders whenever directed by E/I, proper care should be taken not to damage the stone during removal. [ Rate as per R.A. 04] 5 Gently cleaning the surface of stone masonry with specialised water misting technique employing air water jet using a fine nossle sprinkling system calibrated to sprey fine mist along the stone surface without over wetting follwed up by gentle brushing with soft nylon brushes and removing dirt, dist, bird dropping, grease, oil, algae, fungus, monkey beats, vegetable growth etc. as specified gentle surface cleaning using water misting and mild PH balanced surfactants as specified for indicated araes to remove the surface dirt, grit accretion by means misitng and cleaning etc. complete ass directed by E/I [ Rate as per R.A. 05] 6 Excavation for foundation in earth, soil of all types, sand, gravel and soft murum including removing the excavated material upto a distance of 50m beyond the building area and stacking and spreading as directed, deatering, preparing the bed for the foundation and necessary back fillinh, ramming, watering including shoring and shuttering etc complete (lift upto 0.00 to 1.50 m) by manual means [ Rate as per R.A. 6] 7 Dewatering on BHP basis by using water pump including diversion of stream, providing coffer dams,earthern bunds etc. as may be necessary for foundation and otherparts of the the works and pumping out water during and after excavation as may be required by using 5.0to9.0BHP pump etc. complete.[ Rate as per R.A. 7] 8 Desilting of historical stepwell/ tank / fort/ moat etc.As a scientific clearance of debris and all type of sand gravel or black soil, soft murrum etc. including removing the excavated materials upto distance 50 M beyond the structre area and all lifts stacking and spreading as per dircted by site in charge, desilting deawteirng, shoring, structing and cleaning the bed and necessay back filling ramming, watering etc.. complete. [ Rate as per R.A. 8] 9 LoweringdowncarefullyexistingStonemasonryofthemonumentmanuallyinproperorder including shifting the bricks up to a distance of 50 meter beyond the monument area and stacking themasdirectedbyEngineerin-charge, removingbuildingrubbishandcleaningthesiteetc. complete. [ Rate as per R.A. 09] 10 Providing soling using 80mm size trap metal in 15 cm. layer including filling voids with Crushed sand/grit, ramming, watering etc. complete [ Rate as per R.A. 10] 11 Providing injection grouting with lime and fine screened sand slurry in proporation (1:1) with a proper jet pump pressure including cleaning and washing and packing the exisitng cracks / holes in the brick or stone masonry with lime and finesand paste in proportion (1:1) properly from down side filling the slurry in cracks or holes including all necessary actions and required tools and machinies, scaffolding, curing etc. complete. [ Rate as per R.A. 11] 12 Providing Lime Pointing to stone work in lime mortar 1:1 in superstructure, as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all face or visible work shall be pointed, unless otherwise specified and shall be done while the mortar is fresh, the mortar shall consists of lime and fine sand shall not be ground fine but sand should be finer, the joints of the pointed work shall be neatly defined by the pointing, the lines shall be regular and uniform in breadth and the joints shall be raised or flat as may directed, preparing the lime mortar with 640 gram pulp of wood apple (Belfruit) per cubic metre of lime mortar as a bonding material, scaffolding, watering and allwork when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete [ Rate as per R.A. 12] 13 Providing12 mm. thick Rough Cast Lime Plaster in single coat in lime mortar 1½:1 in superstructure, as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all joints in masonry and brick work are to be racked out to a depth of at least 20 mm. and the wall to be washed with fresh water and thoroughly wetted for six hours before plastering, the plaster to be applied in an even and uniform coat well pressed in to the joints and to be well beaten for 1½ days with hand tappers, the plaster should also be well sprinkle during the proses of beating with a mixture of 1.10 kg jaggary and 640 gram pulp of wood apple (Belfruit) in 90 to 135 litre of water, the plaster being wetted ccasionally with fresh water while the beating is in progress, all exposed angles and junctions with door frame to be carefully finished, all mouldings shall be worked true to template and drawn neat, clean and level, soffits of arches must true arch of circle, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller with 1.60 kg Gugal (a kind of fragrant gum) and 960 gram chopped hemp (fibre of bhendi or tag ) per cubic metre of lime mortar as a bonding material, of lime as a bonding material, scaffolding, watering and allwork when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. [ Rate as per R.A. 13] 14 Providing and laying cast in situ 1:2:4 Lime Concrete of trap/ granite/ quartzite/ gneiss metal for foundation and bedding as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including bailing out water, centring, formwork, laying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing if required with fine aggregate, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller and then mixing with coursed aggregate in drum mixer as per specifications including bailing out water, watering etc. complete. [ Rate as per R.A. 14] 15 Providing and laying cast in situ 1:1:4 Lime Concrete of broken brick metal for coping or waterproofing as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including centring, formwork, aying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing if required, with fine aggregate, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller and then mixing with coursed aggregate or surkhiin drum mixer, the concrete must be bitten for two days with pouring water as per specifications,scaffolding, wateringand all concrete work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains, etc. complete. [ Rate as per R.A. 15] 16 Providing/Re-setting Ashlar Fine Masonry of reuse-stones in lime mortar 1:1in plinth as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones shall be set in fine mortar, the beds or joints being in no case more than 3 mm. (⅛″), the stone shall be laid in regular course, the face stone shall be laid header and stretcher alternately, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, bailing out water, wateringandall masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete.[ Rate as per R.A. 16] 17 Providing Ashlar Rough-tooled Masonry of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1 with size of stone 30 cm. x 30 cm x 60 cm. in superstructureas per detailed pecifications and drawings or as directed including the stones be of approved quality, colour, hard and free from defect of any kind,dressing every stones fine tooled on all beds, joints and faces, full true if the surface are plane or to uniform curves or twists if required, the stones shall be set in fine mortar, the beds or joints being in no case more than 3 mm. (⅛″), the stone shall be laid in regular course not less than 30 cm. (12″)in height averaging 4½ c. ft., the face stone shall be laid header and stretcher alternately, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, scaffolding, wateringandall masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. [ Rate as per R.A. 17] 18 Providing Ashlar Rough-tooled Stone Steps of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1with size of stone 21 cm. x 40 cm. x 60 cm. as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones be of approved quality, colour, hard and free from defect of any kind, the stones shall be of exact size and shape, the shall be fine dressed on exposed surface, holes for balusters should be cut in the steps before they are laid, each stone shall rest at least 3.8 cm. (1½″) on that below it, the beds or joints being in no case more than 3 mm. (⅛″), preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, watering and all steps work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete.[ Rate as per R.A. 18] 19 Providing and fixing Stone Paving, Second Sort in lime mortar 1:1 .1/2, with size of stone 60 cm. x 45 cm. x 15 cm., as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all stone slabs toof approved quality, hard, even, sound, durable and uniform thickness, the stones to be very finely chisel-dressed on the surface and the course to be of prescribed width true for top 25 mm, the joints running true, the stones to be laid with joints not exceeding 8 mm. (5/16″) thick and to be evenly and firmly bedded flush in mortar on the concrete and no hollow left, side to be dressed true and as per shape at least half the depth from the face, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, watering and all paving work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. . [Rate as per RA 19] 20 Providing Brick Arching First Class with first class bricks of size 9″ x 4½″ x 2½″ in lime mortar 1:1½, as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the bricks to be of uniform size, thoroughly well burnt and sound, ringing clearly when stuck with trowel, the bricks to be soaked in water for 12 hours before used, the bricks to be laid in concentric half-brick ring, the joints are to be properly summered and not to exceed 17 mm. (⅔″) in thickness, the joints to be truly radial to the curve at all points, great care to be taken that the rings are bonded together properly, whenever the joints of any of the rings come to a summering or plane face, all arches to be turned on centrings, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, antering/scaffolding, watering and all archwork when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete.[Rate as per RA 20] 21 Providing and fixing mild steel grill gate as per the detailed drawing including hinges, locking arrangements and painting in three coats of oil paint of approved color and shade etc complete (weight 18 kg to 20 kg per sqm) spec. one number as directed by E/I[ Rate as per R.A. 21] 22 Providing and fixing mild steel grill railing 15Kilogram/sq.m with Ghana teak wood hand rail of size75mmx60mm and sill of 75mm.x25mm and newel posts for staircases, including fabricating, fixtures, erecting, painting the grill work with one coat of anticorrosive paint and two coats of oil painting with approved colours and polishing the sill, hand rail and the newel post with french polish.[ Rate as per R.A. 22] 23 Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cuplock type) on the exterior side of building / structure, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40 mm dia MS tube placed 1.5 meter centre to centre horizontal and vertical tubes joint with cup and lock system with M tube, MS tube challis, MS clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and or poinitng and or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. the scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc. whenever required, if feasible for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc complete as per directions and approval of E?I Note: 1 the elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. 2 the payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works.
