Bids Are Invited For Custom Bid For Services Vehicle Hiring Service - Per Vehicle-Day basis 01. For its activities, Kolkata Branch Office (KKBO) of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) intends to hire the services of vehicles of various segments on need and call basis for Executives, VIPs, dignitaries or any other personnel authorized by KKBO. The services shall be utilized (but not limited to) for short-term temporary requirements like local tours, airport duties, railway station duties, local/outstation city duties and also for occasional requirements during various symposiums, workshops etc. 02. Generally these duties shall be for rest of the West Bengal. However, dignitaries / executives may move out of West Bengal if need arises. 03. The services for each variant of vehicles are required purely on need & call basis requirements of KKBO; as such their accurate forecast cannot be made in advance. Actual volume of work may vary and depends on operational requirements of KKBO from time to time. 04. The contract shall be valid for a period of One Year from the date of commencement of services. The contract period is extendable by another 2 year on mutually agreed terms & conditions. 05. All cars provided should be facilitated with GPS tracking system. 06. The total km will be garage to garage with a maximum of 30 km within the district of Howrah, Kolkata, North & South 24 Parganas. For other district, it will be as per actual. 07. All vehicles must be registered under commercial use with the Regional Transport Office (RTO). (Only yellow plate or vehicle registered for commercial purpose of passenger transport).Secure All India Tourist Permit or State Permit, depending on the service area.. 08. Chauffeur Verification and maintaining of code of Conduct which ensure the profile with background checks and police verification must be done by the contractor. The contractor shall ensure drivers have valid commercial driving licenses and Comply with labor laws. 09. For special service the contractor must ensure that the uniform of the chauffeur must be White shirt - pant / White Shirt-Black pant.
