(c) Checking stop cocks with outlet/inlet pipe of geysers, pressure reducing valves etc to ensure free movement of water and easy functioning of parts.(d) Inspecting over flow vent pipe connections to ensure water-tightness and proper flow.(e) Checking and correct earth continuity of electrical items.(f)Checking functioning of heating elementand correct setting adjustment of thermostat.(g) Adjustment of reducing valves, checking of dead weight type high pressure release valve and visual check of fusible plug for its intactness.(h) Replacement of defective spares shall be measured and paid under relevant items mentioned below separately as supply and fix. 2 Note : The following deemed to be inclusive in quoted rate :- 3 The above job shall be carried out by a trained electrician having ITI in electrical, documentary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced to the Engr-in-Charge before commencement of work. 4 In case of major defects, entire job shall be completed within 15 days from the date of registration of complaint, failing which penalty charges @100/- per day shall be recovered. 5 In case of minor defects, entire job shall be completed with in 12 hrs from the time of registration of complaint, failing which penalty charges @ 50/- per job shall be recovered. 6 The entire job will be carried out in entire area of Air Force stn Jalahalli 7 All types Adjustment of reducing valves, checking of dead weight type high pressure release valve and visual check of fusible plug for its intactness. 24 Dismantling carefully solar storage water heating system of 100/200/300 Ltr capacity any type for following works withtestingand refixing the same in original position making all water/ electric connection to entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge after repair as under :-(a) Inspection, opening, of all parts,descaling, washing of inner tankwith chemical solution and cleaning ofouter cover storage tank.(b) Checking water tightness of storage tank after cleaning.(c) Checking and correcting earth continuity of electrical items.(d) Adjustment of reducing valves, checking of dead weight type high pressure release valve and visual check of fusible Documantary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced by the contractor to the Engr-in-charge, before commencement of work. 497 (ii)The aforsesaid test shall be carried out in presence of user and MES represnetative. 498 (iii) Two Party (consisting 2 x 1 No. Technician with 1 No. Helper) shallreport every Morningat 9 AM to JE E/M for Daily earth testing. 499 (iv) Earth Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be caliberated from Authorised Company/ Lab). 500 (v) Contractor shall be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at their own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. (water will be provided by the contractor at his own arrangement and nothing extra will be admissible). 501 (vi) Contractor shall be responsible for marking of Earth check date and due date on existing Plate with synthetic enamel paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge. 502 (vii)Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning of bushes and grass all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip. 503 Supply only charcoal dust/Breeze in trenches to improve the ER value of existing earth pits, complete all as specified and as directed. 504 Supply only common deep below normal ground level ) with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level,complete all as specified and directed includingPCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate for pit with cover of RCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded aggregate, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric not less than 4 kg per Sqmtr with handle and angle iron frame,watering arrangment with 20 mm bore GI medium grade pipe ISI marked, GI funnel with GI mesh,filling with mixture of common salt and charcoal,necessary excavation, refilling, removing away soil and earth work in any type of soil including test point, testing and commissioning, complete all as specifed and as directed.Note : GI Funnel, brazing, mixture of salt/char coal/MgSO4 shall be measured and paid separately under releavant items. 517 S&F in repair copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing old unserviceable copper strip etc, complete all Make : Havells/Bajaj/ Orient.Note:-(a)Old Unserviceable ceiling fan shall be deposited to MES store yard. 520 Material and labour for fixing earth indicators made out of 3 mm thick MS sheet of size 200mm x 300mm duly fixed in MS angle iron 25mmx25mmx3mm of 450 mm long to be fixed to ground by means withnecessarycement concrete andpainting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer, writing earth reading and connected items like painting of panel etc, and necessary excavation and earth work including taking down old, complete all as specified and as directed. 521 Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemicalearthing system comprising of 17mm dia copper bondedrod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducingliquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation including taking down existing one, complete all as specified and directed..Make : Model HTSP 317 of safeTrode or equivalent in Snaga/ Cubes 6 Global 522 The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i)Prior toinstallation of maintenance free chemicalearthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthingwork to be donein presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has tosubmitto Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection ofearthing (not more than 08 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testingandsubmission of report with recommendationdeemed to be included in the quoted rate. 523 (ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors. 524 (iii) Rateofearth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earthresistance reducingliquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 525 (iv)Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor along with the sample approval 526 (v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH value should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed.
