Bids Are Invited For Custom Bid For Services - Open Cover Marine Insurance Transit Policy For Import, Export, Inland Transit And Courier Consignment Marine and Transit Insurance Service IMPORT- EXPORT ABROAD & INLAND CONSIGNMENT FOR ONE YEAR FOR HAL-TAD KANPUR T1 Scope: HAL, Kanpur is a Defence PSU, involved in manufacturing & Servicing of Transport Aircrafts used by Defence forces and Civil aviation field. For the subject activities various type of materials / items are received and dispatched with in India and abroad (Import & Export) via defferent mode of transportation. Material includes Aircarft parts, Engines, LRUs, Machine parts, Self life temperature controlled items, Office items and other items to support manufacturing and servicing of Aircarfts. Accordingly Open cover Insurance covergae of above materials / items is sought/required in this proposal. FOR INFORMATION 2 Marine (Air & Sea) Transit Policy for Export & Import from HALs Warehouse to Consignee Warehouse basis and vice versa. 3 Inland Transit cover for all incoming material from Supplier’s Warehouse to HAL Warehouse basis and outgoing material from HAL Warehouse to Consignee Warehouse basis. 4 Transit Insurance cover for postal/courier Consignment with in India & abroad for all incoming material from Supplier’s Warehouse to HAL Warehouse basis and outgoing material from HAL Warehouse to Consignee Warehouse basis. 5 The Marine insurance open polices shall cover all risks for consignments including war, strike riots and civil commotions (SRCC) in case of foreign consignments ( import / export from Supplier warehouse to HAL warehouse & vice versa ) and also in case of indigenous consignments from the Supplier warehouse to HAL warehouse & vice versa. Marine policy should also cover Transit Insurance for storage of shipments en-route to destination. 6 The Insurance surveyor for the assessment of loss shall be deputed immediately within 24 hours after receipt of our written / telephonic intimation in case of high value claims. 7 There should be 180 days time limit from date of AWB/BOL/Docket for lodging of any Insurance claim with in India or abroad once item handed over to HAL designated freight forwarder . 8 Quote / Offer must be accompanied along with the documents /certificate which indicates that your company is approved by IRDA. 9 GST Rate should be clearly mentioned when and where applicable . 10 Stamp Duty where are applicable should be mentioned clearly whether it is per policy, per declaration or per dispatch. OPEN COVER MARINE INSURANCE FOR IMPORT- EXPORT ABROAD & INLAND CONSIGNMENT FOR ONE YEAR FOR HAL-TAD KANPUR 11 No agent are to be involved, hence agent commission is to be reduced in premium rates. 12 The premium rates quoted by Insurence Agency should be Firm, Fixed,Final. Please also confirm that in this proposed Open cover Marine Insurance policy, all shipments will be automatically covered . Thus any delay in declaration / payment of premium will not affect claims . HAL will ensure that in due course all shipment will be declared and payment of premium will be made accordingly . 13 Details Regarding Previous Experience;- i) Approximate Annual Turnover Rs. 2754 Crores. Import Rs. 1100 Crores. Export Rs. 800 Crores. Inland incoming, Outgoing and Courier Consignment Rs. 854 Crores. Insurance coverage amount indicated above is tentative which may vary +/-20% FOR INFORMATION ii) PER SENDING LIMIT /PER BOTTOM LIMIT/LIMIT PER CONVEYANCE Import and Export Shipment Rs. 35 Crores. Inland incoming, Outgoing and Courier Shipment Rs. 16 Crores. 14 CLAIM EXPERIENCE FOR LAST FIVE YEARS FOR INFORMATION 2021-2022. 1) Rs. 4309743.048 (short landing,claim settled), 2) 11486.2 (Damage, claim settled) 2022-2023. 1) Rs.2267217.00(short landing,claim settled) 2023-2024. No claim 2024-2025. 1) USD 648.00(Lost,under process) 2025-2026. No claim (till Jun 2025) 15 Claim ratio for five financial year is 59.14 % FOR INFORMATION 16 Basis of Valuation :- Invoice + 15 % 17 EXCESS CLAUSE: Excess Clause: - Please indicate excess clause clearly in quotation. The amount deduction due to excess clause will also be considered for evaluation of quotation. Excess will be evaluated considering 03 (three) claims of Rs. 10 Lakhs and 03(three) claims of Rs. 01 Crore. 18 Please Offer claim Amount for which no survey will be required and HALs claims will be settled on our rejection reports. It is proposed that no survey required for losses up to Rs. 20000/- and below. The Claims will be settled on the basis of HAL rejection reports. Any such small value claims must be settled definitely within three months (90 days). Excess Clause will not be applicable up to the claim of Rs. 20000/-(twenty thousand) Total Quantity :
