Tender For Provision Of Arboriculture And Rainwater Harvesting At Patiala Under Ge (S) At Patiala.; 1 Supplying and stacking of good earth called a loam and shall have roughly 40% sand, 40% silt and 20% clay, free from termite at site including royalty and carriage brought from outside of Defence land complete all as specified and as directed. 2 Forming embankments, earth mounds including raisingearth in layers not exceeding 30 cm thick, watering, well ramming and fine dressing to required size and shape (earth free from grass, vegetation pebbles/ stones, shrubs etc) complete all as specified and as directed. 3 Supplying and stacking at site dump sludge manure from approved sources including carriage at work.Screened though sieve of 1.5 designation 4.75 mm complete all as specified and as directed.. 4 Material and labour for mixing properly manure/cow dung with the excavated earth to make mixture of earth and manure to a ratio of 2:1 and surface dressing the area to a true level and required slope for grass plantation or to make plant/flower beds complete all as specified and as directed.. 5 Surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm deep and average 15 cm deep in soft/loose soil including cleaning away all grass, vegetation, shrubs, roots and trees not exceeding 30 cm grith and removing rubbish and levelling the surface complete all as specified and as directed. 6 Removing excavated soils material exc. 250 but n exc. 500m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.. 7 Supply and planting of Selection No. 1 grass, (fresh and good quality as approved) in rows having distance 7.5 cm apart bothways and formation of turf within three month including site clearance, digging of earth upto 20 cm depth and remove all unwanted material like stones, weeds, tree roots etc, filling manure soil at site, levelling, mixing of manures, fertilizers, insecticide fine dressing and other soil preparation mixed vermin compost @ 1.00 Kg/Sqm with manure fertilizer NPK (12:32:16) @ 100 gm/Sqm and insecticide phosphate @ 100 gm/ Sqm including the following specification/activities all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Notes: (i) Ploughing of whole site in ordinary soil upto a depth of 30cm and removing unwanted material such as stones, weeds, trees roots etc which are not suitable for healthy growth of grass.(ii) Dressing and levelling of soil to a required gradient and slope after loosening of soil using mechanical means like rotavator.(iii) Mixing and spreading of good earth, manure and fertilizer as directed.(iv) Fine dressing the ground to required slope and gradient towards the manhole and final levelling by spreading sand and good earth mixture, manuring as and when directed.(v) Grassing with specified grass including watering unit establishment of the lawn.(vii) Quoted rate include for maintenance of lawn till grass forms a thick layer free from unwanted vegetation, weeds etc, replacement of dead grass and all type of maintenance including trimming upto the entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge.(viii) 25% of quoted rates shall be retain till grass forms a thick layer.(ix) Unit rate quoted is inclusive of replacement of dead grass. 8 Digging holes (60cm dia and 60cm deep) in ordinary soil and refilling the same after plantation as in ser item no 4 withmanure or sludge in ratio of 2:1 by volume (2 parts of stacked volume of earth after reduction by 20% : 1 part of stacked volume of manure after deduction by 8%) flooding with water, dressing including removal of rubbish, complete all as specified and as directed. 9 Supply and Plantation of the plants at site including all transportation chargesincluding digging, preparation of Plant bed including manuring and watering, complete operation of plantation of following specification complete all as specified and directed.
